Dec_Bra1n
I have tried set up the MacOS High Sierra using (USB + Clover / clover+HDD) i have tried createmedia , manual restore method and the method which is mention on this threat (PreLinkedKernel) but all failed only one method works which is Core.Pkg install on clean HFS+ partition. but don't know how to Convert HFS+ to APFSalso tried clover r4079 to r4084 with New APFS Supported Firmware (BiosVersion) almost tried every SMBIOS with supported APFS Firmware.Every time i try to install i stuck at "Disk Utility" it takes more than 30 min to load all hard drives which is strange and never reach to successfully clean Driveany help can be appreciated.Config:- i7 2630qm Intel HD 3000,8GB ram SSD+HDDAlso,This screen i got when I try to install from sierra with install macOS 10.13 beta.app Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324431-solved-stuck-at-disk-utility-high-sierra-installation-on-hp-dv6-6121tx/ Share on other sites

Dec_Bra1n
Guys now successfully working everything what I did is 1:-On Sierra I install High Sierra via Beta.app (HFS+ mode) 2:-On Plist I use 0xff1fff3f as a firmware features (also tried bunch of APFS Supported Firmwares but failed) 3:-Once after successfully booted with High Sierra I boot the Recovery Disk (HS recovery) and convert the partition from HFS+ to APFS. If you stuck with Disk Utility or Black screen then use Latest Clover + 0xff1fff3f on SMBIOS Problem can be with High Sierra Disk also (I Downloaded two time then it fixed.) GIEBELWALD
I'm glad you did it. But how did you manage that the hard drive, on wich High Sierra is installed, from within Sierra, is recognized from Clover? Even if I copy Clover into the EFI area of the hard disk, containing High Sierra, installed via Core.pkg, Clover does not find that hard drive. There must be a trick... 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324431-solved-stuck-at-disk-utility-high-sierra-installation-on-hp-dv6-6121tx/#findComment-2444276 Share on other sites

Even if I copy Clover into the EFI area of the hard disk, containing High Sierra, installed via Core.pkg, Clover does not find that hard drive. There must be a trick... I have 2 Drive SSD + HDD (128GB+1TB) SSD = 10.2.5 + Win 10 pro HDD have 5 Partition 3 MAC (APFS + HFS + HFS) and 2 data this is my actual drive status. What i did is From Sierra 10.12.5 i install install High Sierra using Beta.app but unfortunately i did not get any option for APFS upgrade so once i install High Sierra i boot with recovery hd and convert the High Sierra partition to APFS (From HFS+ to APFS). For booting Clover, i install clover r4084 on SSD (main drive) and added custom entries for HDD (APFS and rest HFS drive), Before getting success i tried install using core.pkg and then add custom entry to clover plist that time also my High Sierra was booted with my clover but without Recovery HD and without APFS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/324431-solved-stuck-at-disk-utility-high-sierra-installation-on-hp-dv6-6121tx/#findComment-2444285 Share on other sites
MNSiw
I tried again using firmware thing Dec shared, not working for me, same blue screen freeze. Even I tried Recovery Partition Creator with no luck. Only missing part is recovery, otherwise I got High Sierra working with all hardware and APFS. MNSiw
Try to make USB installer with Untouched macOS High sierra image in my case i downloaded Beta.app two timesI'll try, actually I'm on slow connection here, and this downloaded app work fine with Core.pkg install. There's something wrong with initial setup only, otherwise its running flawlessly. Hanger1(H1)
@Dec_Bra1n It was bug in 10.13 beta... but now apple solved it... Problem occur only machines have 4 GB or below of RAM Installer Resolved Issues Reinstalling macOS 10.13 from the Recovery OS no longer requires using Disk Utility to unlock your FileVault-encrypted volume. Resolved an issue where systems with less than 4 GB of RAM may hang when installing applications. (32589377) Get 10.13 developer beta 6 or latest public beta 5.... make bootable USB and install normally.....
