Damjanek
Damn. I've lost about 3 days trying to make this work. And still no progress. This is the situation: Got a real 10.4.8, based on working system (just have to change kext and copy over the kernel - mifkis). So far I haven't occured any problems with it. I need a new install. I've installed 10.4.6 by JaS on second hd (of course, I switched off all the patches), then made Apple's 10.4.8 combo update and then I've copied kext and the kernel.... and nothing. loginwindow.app crashing on boot (passed -v -f -x parameters). I've tried to copy all the kexts from my working 10.4.8, removed /System/Library/Extensions.* files and the same. I've also tried to use newer v3, but still no progress. I'm wondering, what's the difference between new and an old system. What could be the reason of loginwindow.app thingy? Btw, great work.

BladeRunner
Just a quick question. Why do I need to know/care about FSB - Front Side Buss - speed?
VN Man
THANKS... Downloaded, installed and my clock now ticking correctly Also I now have AHCI enable and it work fine too, before only "IDE Enhanced" work without "waiting for root Device"... The only problems I have is "About this Mac" log me out and "System Profiler" on Hardware display nothing (well not nothing but you know what I mean)... It would be nice for them to work but not serious. I mean as long as system work as expected I do not care about the info... I have tried to compile and installed smethex kernel but got diskarb..so what is the difference between the two kernels? Also with version 1 when I installed it the silicon image i3132 kext failed to load with something about Parallel SCSI, haven't try with this version yet... DaemonES
Modified versions of Mifki kernel: http://applelife.ru/developer/mach_kernel.zip - Added high accuracy fsb detection on Intel ICH, nForce4 (works if ACPI enabled in BIOS) through PM-Timer, even for overclocked CPU's, so now you have no any problems with clocks or sound playing and so on. - Added HPET emulation through TSC, if you have non-Intel ICH south bridge. Or you can enable hpet emulation manually, boot parameter nohpet=1 - Fixed bug with reboot during cpu initialization on some AMD systems. So you can try to boot in single mode (maybe!!! GUI works on AMD + VMWare, I'm working on this problem).

It seems that this mod will be (functional wise) closer to semthex's..

DaemonES
Sources here http://www.applelife.ru/developer/xnu-792.13.8_daemon.rar It contains some debug code, not cleared now (I need more testing). It based of Mifki's sources (version 1) and modified by me. I'm not removed NX yet.
