  1. iATKOS 10.5.5 (Safe to update?)

I too upgraded from iatkos v5i and lost my usb. installing slice's usb 2.0 kexts for leapord did the trick for me. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=117029
  2. NVIDIA 9 Series Driver Installer v2

Thanks for the installer, manage to get my 9600GT working on my iatkos 10.5.5 install! Almost wanted to swap this card with a 8800GT, good thing I didn;t Just one little problem, my setup wont wake up from sleep. I've tried both vanilla and voodoo kernel but no go. When I press the power button, the system runs but there's no signal to the monitor. Anyone else using 9600GT and this driver have this problem? Would very much appreciate your help. Many thanks!
  3. GeForce 9600 GT

  4. NVIDIA 9 Series Driver Installer v2

OMG it worked! was so close in selling my 9600gt for a supported card. Thanks everyone!
  5. GeForce 9600 GT

anyway, 10.5.4 just released today. Any love for our beloved 9600gt?
  6. temp monitor?

    http://www.bresink.de/osx/TemperatureMonitor.html don't think it's that accurate though.
  7. Natit for Nvidia with dual display

I'm currently using 10.5.1 (Kalyway). QE/CI support on my 8800GTS 320MB working with NVinject. If I want to use dual monitor, would I need to install Natit? If i do, which version would I need to install? Thanks.
  8. First of all, thanks to Kaly and Dune for this excellent release! I installed with the vanilla option and efi_mbar. Everything worked perfectly!! Just one thing before I break anything, will security updates (or any other system updates other than apps) break my leopard?
  9. iAtkos vs Kalyway 10.5.1

Is xcode included OOTB? I installed Kalyway but couldn't find it (was actually looking for the plist editor to edit some kext files). Where can I find the xcode? Thanks!
  10. Working on my system!!! w000TTT! Thanks Kaly and dune! Installed with vanilla, efi via mbr. Loving it!
  11. Anyway, just a quick update on my leo install.. Manage to install kalyway, with vanilla and efiv8. I installed it on my spare raptor hard disk on the purple (Jmicron) SATA port. Some initial observation: - Lan worked out of the box - Sound wasn't. But installing via the script took like 2 seconds.. - Graphics card full support (QE/CI) using Nvinject 0.20, although the VRAM is shown as 256MB in System Profiler (would this in any way coz any hardware damage to my gfx card? OR is it just an 'error' in reading the amount of VRAM?) - Booting, restart and shutdown works as its suppose too - processor recognised at the correct speed (2.8ghz) Would very much appreciate some advice on the matters below: - how do i 'enable' the 3rd Orange SATA port? I tried plugging in my hard disk in that but it's not recognised (works nicely if i plug it in the 1st slot). - how can i install xcode (need to use the plist editor) without downloading 1.1GB from the adc website? (internet in Malaysia is slow!) Enjoying it so far. Thanks for everyone, especially A.I for helping me out.
  12. +1 for me.. Would very much appreciate if someone can write a guide on this.
  13. Anyone using Gigabyte 965-ds3 managed to install Leopard using this DVD?
  14. Thanks for the tips A.I. Ghost. Moved my sata dvdrw to the second orange SATA port --> bingo, managed to boot iAtkos DVD. After reading thoroughly the business of AHCI sata and the inability of XP (that was installed not using AHCI) to boot with this setup, I chose to try and install it on my spare hard disk, a 35GB WD Raptor, and disconnected all my other hard disks. So, Raptor on Orange Sata port 1 & SATA DVDRW on Orange port 2. With AHCI on, I can't complete the installation -> the installation just hangs when it wants to install to the volume Without AHCI (which is default) -> the installation completed, but it wouldn't reboot.. I forced reboot but to my dismay, i was greeted with the "error loading OS". I've boot using the ubuntu live cd and use gParted to check whether the bootable flag, which was there. I didn't even bother to try install with the efi thinggie coz that might complicate things even further for my situation. So now where did I go wrong? Possible answers: a) I just can't install OSX on WD Raptor doesn't play nice with AHCI (it does make some weird sounds every now and then when the AHCI mode was on) c) Wrong sata port connection again? d) I've done something wrong to iAtkos so much that it won't want to boot on my hardware? Any ideas folks?
  15. Hi, i tried to install iatkos 10.5.1 (just because its half of the size than other iso & internet is freaking slow here in Malaysia!) but no go. I will only get to the apple picture, with the spinning thing below it. After a minute, there's that problem sign. Booted in verbose, it hanged at "blabla.. VIAATA SATA Driver" or something.. then I get the waiting for root device error. In other words, I dont even get to the utilities, choose guid etc part. My specs are as below: C2D e6300 Gigabyte 965p-ds3 (duhh.. ) 2 x 1 gb ddr 400 ram (i think its gskill) two SATA seagate hard disk connected to the first 2 ORANGE port 1 SATA Lite-on DVDRW (I got this solely to try and install leopard..) on the 3rd ORANGE port 1 PATA LG DVDRW BFG Nvidia 8800GTS 320mb Some bios settings: AHCI Mode SATA Port 0-3 enabled SATA Control mode: AHCI Bios F11 Any ideas on what might have gone wrong?
