kosakgroove
Knowing all the Intel Core 2 Duo and similar are getting cheaper by the second and I need a media system I thought I would love have a Snow Leopard capable Hackintosh. I would love to have a 2.5 or more GHz processor if possibleI just cant find any compatible components avaliable to buy online.. Most of the links are dead, or the product is unavaliable I need some guidance and advice... I am on a budget so older hardware would be my chance. I already have a big case ready, so I need the parts....I have 3 Hackintosh laptops but no desktop...Could you direct me to some web where I can buy older hardware for Hackintosh? Preferably Snow Leopard capable build with Wifi and BluetoothThanks kindly Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312216-buying-for-snowleo-in-2016/ Share on other sites

Mavericks would run on Conroe? Thanks so much for the advice.. I know that 945 chipset can run Snow Leo since that was my first Hackintosh I ever made with 10.6.3 Now the question is can the LGA 775 chipset with a Conroe or Allandale run Tiger and Snow Leo ? I am very interested in Cirro's build. Only thing is that I am struggling to find the components he listed. Also, I dont understand which of the graphics card is he using... He lists two haha Thanks for the advice guys, it is very appreciated BTW I live in Portugal, but most spanish websites also deliver here, thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312216-buying-for-snowleo-in-2016/#findComment-2238354 Share on other sites
kosakgroove
I have just bought: Mobo: Gigabyte-EP45-UD3LR 4GB RAM (will upgrade to 8) CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Graphics: Gigabyte GV-N210SL-1GI ( NVIDIA, GeForce 210 ) With a 320GB HDD I have and 2 fans plus 3 LEDs what economic power source would you reccommend? I am thinking of a 600W Corsair power source. It is a good well-known brand. And the power should be enough I think? What do you guys think of the build? Good to go with Clover in Snow Leo and Mavericks? mac09hack
I have a well built Hackintosh that runs Snow Leopard listed on the for sale section of Insanely Mac. It is an Intel 920 processor with 16 Gb RAM and EVGA 9800 GTX video card. It is water cooled and powered by a 900 Watt power supply. The EX58-UD5 motherboard has on board Firewire and SPDIF for audio guys.
