Hi guys, I successfully installed yosemite on my laptop. Almost everything is working fine including Audio, HDMI, etc.

but I encountered some problem..

1.Kernel panic when download things from internet and watch youtube videos (I think it caused by my TP-Link WN725N usb wifi)

2.My laptop can go sleep but it can't wake up maybe i just did something wrong (i didn't try hibernation though)

My laptop model is SVS13A15GHB (similar to midi's one but came with windows 7)

i7-3520M

8GB RAM

1600x900 screen resolution

I'm still learning  :D

sorry for my English

hope you guys understand

btw, I attached my KP log (hope it's the right one since i'm new to this)

EDIT: I skipped step 26) because it will cause kernel panic on bootup.

what do you guys think?

The Panic is indeed due to the TP-link USB (I see USB kexts and Network stuff!)

You need to patch AGAIN the DSDT (and remove all other Clover DSDT Patches from your config.plist, which is already done if you made your config.plist as I said in the guide) STEP 20 - 23

And how the HELL does 26 give you KPs it just removes USB3.0 non-vanilla kexts and fixes Permissions!!! I think you should remove all USB devices before rebooting.

@Sidd

I can't find any ROM for your AMD card, gimme your full VAIO S/N, I'll look in Sony site if they have any "ROM UPDATE" ( )

i can see rom

ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ find /sys/devices -name "rom"

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:01.0/0000:01:00.0/rom <- this is Bios (131kb)
/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1c.0/0000:02:00.0/rom <- this is VBios ROM (65kb)

only need to copy !

But y does ubuntu is giving I/O error !

Vusun, I tried that on a HP with dual GPU (HD3k and Amd Radeon 6760) and it only dumped the Intel one. For Sidd, it will dump amd obviously, but why can't I dump the radeon too using DarwinDump? (I tried many times)

On AMD Switchable capable laptop it will always dump the integrated one. In Sidd's case it's only AMD 7650M, so it will dump only that GPU

This is the log in terminal,

bash-3.2# cd /Users/SiddRamesh/Desktop/Rad

bash-3.2# ./RadeonDump -d

Found a device of class RadeonPCI: IOService:/AppleACPIPlatformExpert/PCI0@0/AppleACPIPCI/PEG0@1/IOPP/PEGP@0/RadeonPCI

it matched on name "ATY,IpomoeaParent"

Wrong signature: ffff. BIOS map failed.

N DarwinDumper Log

Hey how to patch ATI Framebuffer !

Well damn, I don't know about that. But why would you need its ROM anyway ? You got full QE/CI working already

Coz someone in this forum told me its not n good idea to use someone else ROM coz its device specific !

Hey, No Problem, but I can't give you mine, you should make your own as shows the guide :) and cuz you have different specs and the model (which looks like inexistant, look in VAIO Care on the bottom) is kinda weird. Please make sure to give the right model, and other than that, does your PC come with Intel HD4000 or Nvidia Only (since your model is false, I can't know) ?
