HWMonitorSMC2 crashes in all hacks and macos where I have tried to start it so far; here is the report in big sur on the Z370

The application is not crashes on all my hacks and on all installed systems including Ventura. So let me ask about your hardware. Is there NVMe disks?

I think I have discovered what causes the crash of HWMonitorSMC2: in Z370 and X570 systems I use X299nvme.kext where I added the ids of my nvme disks, in this way instead of being recognized in hardware / NVMExpress as generic SSD controller, they are seen as Apple SSD controller. By removing this kext, HWMonitor works smoothly.

Is there any way to solve by keeping the kext ???

thank you

Do you have IntelCPUMonitor.kext installed?

Sorry, when I was at home I forgot your question.

You have to edit FakeSMC.kext/Contents/Info.plist to add here a key like

                        <key>freq</key>
                        <array>
                            <string>ui16</string>
                            <data>gAM=</data>
                        </array>

Insert your own <data>.
