If you're interested to install sonoma, maybe give it a try.
Forked from tluck and thanks for his contribution

Hey, your EFI seems to work better than mine, in Ventura. Testing it now.

Thank you.

Been using this for a week now on a spare SSD/16GB of RAM and it's fairly good.  a little laggy when loading tons of apps, but I watch TV on the T420 hack, some light browsing and book reading.  Haven't run any VMs which I used to do on my Sierra/High Sierra hack, but I'll probably work on that in the next few weeks.

Thank you @TonyYang123

Hey all, hope everyone's good.

Anyone test @tonyyang123 OC with Sequoia at all?  Was going to read through what changed,/OC walkthrough and do a diff on the config's and try it.  Figured i'd ask before I starte digging.

https://github.com/tonyyang123/Lenovo-T420-OC

updated oc 1.0.2 and some kext.

my t420 is not around, so I can’t test whether it supports sequoia.

Finally was able to install sequoia on my t420 has i5 2520m, it's sluggish is that to be expected considering it's 14 years old ?:p or did I do something wrong. Great work by @tluck and Tony's efi helped me install the latest version.

I plan on getting a 2670q, so when I change the processor do I have to change anything? Aside from Cpu-pm??

Hello i'm on catalina thanks to tluck (clover 5169). i was in the past interested to go to newer OS... but i forget it with a bigSur test without success i went back to Catalina.

Situation is différent now because safari is considered as too old.like most apps

tonyyang123 pack (OC) seems to well work but not on my config
aka
 Lenovo T420 (42361U2)        i5-2540M @2.6GHz   8GB   HD 3000  1600*900  Dual boot OS X 10.15.7 & Win 10 Pro - tluck's T420 pack

Can you give me the best way to update : my config is ssd working config and in the extra bay (a dual boot HDD with clone of first one ssd and windows boot)

on other real mac i use OCLP (ventura or Sonoma)

Monterey may be the best choice but i wanna take yours advices

How can i adapt tonyyang123 pack to my config (first) cos it doesn't work right now

then upgrade OS

let me know if i must provide something

best regards
