Well, we need a FX series user to test it for us, since FX AMDs have ssse3 support.

Of course, they'll have to but w/o enabling the ssse3 emulator.

I'll take a look later at this emulator. Andy, what did you change exactly from the original?

Note to spakk: its the following:

npci=0x2000

Small npci...

yes my friend Andy, I have boote with small npci..... :wink2:

The changes are in commpage.c and ssse3emu.c

Just take a look in the diff of test5...

I send Gils now the current kernel. The kernel of yesterday has not booted with Gils FX8150.
Do you have the RAID option, Shane? RAID usually implies AHCI, so you should chose RAID.

Don't have that either. Only things I can change are primary graphics, on board LAN and boot order

Strange... If I enable the emulator then it panics and it attempts to boot without it. Also I added a 64-bit version of AppleNForceATA as I forgot about it now after Kernel is LP64 I hear the HDD spinning down...

We need new IOCatalogue and OSKext .cpp and .h fixes for ML I think...

I'll check how lion does it and implement it tomorrow... at least no more corecrypto to worry about...

here is my result

10.8.2 installer on usb memory flash

using only fakesmc and corecrypto kext

and enabled ssse3 and npci=0x2000

remove from S / L / E AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext and AppleEFIRuntime.kext and try to boot again.That's how I understood Andy.

No need to remove them as Andy added them to the blacklister in the kernel.
