[Guida] Installazione SL su Dell XPS 15 L501x

I have followed every step correctly but I am getting Still Waiting for Root Device error.

 

have set Sata to AHCI

 

I have tried these combinations too :

-v

-v -f

-v -x

-v busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1

-v -x busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1

Ho letto il topic e mi son cimentato.., ho quindi partizionato, scaricato il necessario e via.. vabbè...via un corno... ho subito ricevuto i primi errori...

 

Ho provato 2 versioni, ossia la SL 10a432 userdvd (questà è forse la retail?), e la SL 10.6.6 Intel Hazard, entrambe mi si bloccano, anche utilizzando il cd di boot ovvero [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url].

 

Sinceramente non ho ben capito le varie versioni, io vorre provare l' ufficiale e possibilmente aggiornata.., quelle che ho vanno bene o no?

 

Errori:

 

selezionando il verbose le ultime 4 righe (quelle incriminate) mi riportano:

 

ACPI table not found: DSDT.aml

 

No DSDT found, using 0 as uid value.

 

using pci-root-uid value: 0

 

nvidia unknown 0mb nvc1 [10de:0df4] : : pciroot (0x0)/pci(0x1,0x0)/pci(0x0,0x0)

 

Ho letto che debbo mettere il dsdt in una cartella seguendo una path specifica, ok.. ma riportano tale errore solo dopo l' installazioni ossia al riavvio...

 

il mio problema e che non posso metterla perchè a priori non mi ha ancora installato il tutto... quindi?

 

Chi mi delucida?

Ciao Dax74, scusa se ti rispondo solo ora ma sono stato lontano per un po'... ora ho aggiornato anche la guida per il nostro L501x...

Purtroppo temo che per il tuo L502x la soluzione non sarà semplice a causa della GPU integrata nel processore che crea casini come quella integrata nell'i5-540 che montano alcuni L501x.

 

Potresti comunque provare almeno a vedere se riesci ad arrivare all'installazione usando il nuovo BootCD che trovi allegato in fondo al primo post dentro lo zip completo.

sono stato occupato con un esame e non potevo smanettare il pc perchè mi serviva ma adesso sto provando :) ti farò sapere al più presto

 

aggiornamento 1: col boot cd fornito nell'allegato non riesco a far partire l'installaione.. si riavvia non appena finisce di caricare! adesso sto provando il vecchio..

Uhm...il problema potrebbe essere la scheda WiFi Intel, se hai mantenuto quella.

Potresti provare a rimuoverla e rieseguire il Boot?

Io l'ho già sostituita con la Atheros compatibile indicata nella guida e non ho problemi, l'unica differenza nelle nostre configurazioni dovrebbe essere appunto questa...quanta RAM monti?

nono ho messo anche io la Atheros! nessuna differenza tra le nostre configurazioni, perfettamente identiche! ho messo anche il bios A7! unica differenza, forse, ma non credo che sia incidente, è che ho spostato da ATA a AHCI il tipo di gestione dell'hard disk.

 

col vecchio [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] legacy con gli ovvi kernel flags invece funziona.. con l'[url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] che proponi tu, neanche con i kernel flags, mi funziona.

 

una volta che riesco a fare bootare con il vecchio [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] formatto la partizione OSX già esistente, installo, rimetto l'[url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] cd e avvio con i kernel flags, registro , poi avvio [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], procedo con l'agigornamento comboupdate, finisco e non riavvio, [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] poi durante la selezione dei pacchetti nel 100% dei casi crasha (4 volte su 4 procedure totali a partire da zero), riapro [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url], procedo con l'installazione , nel frattempo c'è l'installer a parte di lnx2mac , poi [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] conclude e nel 100% dei casi da errore. non specifica, però , cosa è andato storto.

 

nei 4 casi ho avuto esiti diversi e cioè che a volte non aveva installato neanche gli osx86 tools.. a volte non partiva nenache l'lnx2mac.. a volta apparivano entrambi ma dava lo stesso errore nell'installazione.

 

in due casi ho provato cmq a procedere con gli altri passaggi mentre nei restanti casi ho proceduto alla riapertura di [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] reinstallando tutto.. qualcosa di nuovo appariva (tipo kext helper b7).

 

allora cerco di procedere con gli altri passaggi ma nel 100% dei casi succede che , dopo aver installato i kext con successo (stando almeno a ciò che dice kext helper), mi è impossibile copiare la cartella extra in / o comunque mettere il contenuto di "Extra" in "/Extra".. "privilegi non sufficienti, non chiedendomi però di autenticarmi.

provo a copiare dapprima sul desktop, nisba. "privilegi non sufficienti" con un misero OK per confermare.

 

provo cmq a riavviare e succede sempre che mi trovo chameleon installato col tema scelto (in un caso solamente mi sn trovato senza tema bensì con la schermata nera e il testo grigio), avvio osx senza kernel flags ed carica ok. ma un piccolo guaio incombe.. non funziona ne tastiera ne trackpad. collego allora mouse e tastiera esterni e vanno , poi ho cercato di riparare permessi ecc con kext utility e mettere i famosi /extra/ , riuscendoci, ma al riavvio TADAN, no carica osx.. si blocca su una delle tante voci che però non ricordo adesso.. c'è sicuramente qualcosa che non va.. devo capire se è problema di guida o mio..ma mi sembra strano perchè con la medesima configurazione con la "vecchia" guida andava tutto a pennello, soprattutto mi puzza il fatto che [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] non riesca a completare l'installazione in maniera decente. l'unica differenza è il combo update.. sicuro sia il 10 6 7? forse dovrei provare con il 10 6 6

is your Partition Table already converted to GPT? if not you have to wipe out all the disk and then recreate partitions.

Why the speackers don't work but the headphone works well with the attach at the bottom of the first post?

 

The BIOS version must be updated to A07(mine was the original version A04)?

try updating bios. my speakers work out of the box with A06 and A07

Ovviamente ho scaricato la versione 3.01 di [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] con il supporto al sb, ma a quanto pare non compatibile con il mio.

 

 

Che dire... su youtube la fanno facilissima.. prendi installa riavvia e via bello che pronto..

 

bah.. mica vero.. o meglio forse su sistemi compatibili, cosa che non tutti dicono.. sigh.. :P

Aggiunto nuovo Kexts Pack per il Post Install.

E' stato tesato con la versione 10.6.7 e tutto pare funzionare.

 

Nota per l'installazione: se non doveste riuscire a bootare con il BootCD by vladlenas, tornate ad [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] come indicato nella "vecchia" guida e descritto al punto 5 della stessa ancora visibile nel primo post.

As I own one myself i managed to install it ...

i have but one problem (or so i think ) ) after i enter sleep mode ... when i restart the laptop, the trackpad is useless.

Hi,

try with PS2 kexts (and the others) you can find into zip pack attached on first post.

Place them all into S/L/E folder.

Use v2 pack and let us know.

unfortunately the kexts did not help ...

still frozen trackpad ...

 

question ...

as i am a little n00b-ish when it comes to dsdt.aml playing ... where am i supposed to place the file for proper functioning? without dsdt my nvidia card and sound do not function properly!

it seems i already did the right procedure

 

now as a small parenthesis when i connect my iPhone to a USB 3.0 port, iTunes doesn't recognize the device and ,randomly, if i pull the device out, it panics related to the pxhcd kext!

2 Questions.

 

1. I have the bluray player on my model, does it work in OSX?

 

2. The retail version that I have found to buy is 10.6.3 does that matter? I have a gift card to Fry's and that's the version their website lists anyway.

but something is wrong ;)

after the installation is complete and I install the 10.6.7 update and the mulybeast files.

and then the kexthelper.

all of this is without any problems.

but when I run Kext Utility it runs but in the end it writes "Sorry, couldn't create Extensions.mkext"

and then when I reboot its not working...

 

do you know what could be the problem?

 

I have the same specs as you laptop, and I used the nawcom Mod CD 0.3.1 because the BootCD by vladlenas don't work..

come scritto nella guida si consiglia di seguire il "vecchio punto 5", ma non c'è scritto che nel punto 9, in caso di problemi anche con il solo "-x", bisogna riscrivere -v busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1, a me non partiva, ho riscritto quello ed è andata, magari a qualcuno in difficoltà può far comodo, un saluto e un grazie per la guida davvero ben fatta!
