  1. I haven't wrote any post for a long time. 1. My usb3.0 just work as 2.0 but they still work fine after waking the laptop up. You need to check the section about usb definition in the fakesmc.kext. 2. I set Mac-C3EC7CD22292981F as Board-ID and inject my own EDID. The attachment is for EI Capitan and Sierra with the clover version 3811: XPS15 L501X for EI Capitan & Sierra.zip
  2. Could you share the link of the patched AppleUSBXHCI kex? Thank you so much.

    [GUIDE] Dell L701X (xps 17 late 2010)

    1. No code added or chaged regarding to power management. 2. I think there is no need to patch AsusAICPUPM. Is your turbo frequency working normally? Each cpu core should work in the frequency range of 931MHz to 2.93GHz. I don't know why your cpu and gpu frequency was up to the highest level if your laptop was in an idle task according to your capture.

    You can install stat menus or HWMonitor to check the frequency.

    [GUIDE] Dell L701X (xps 17 late 2010)

    Thanks for your mail. 1. My laptop runs the bios with the default settings so I don't notice that the usb emulation option you mentioned 2. I don't have EmuVariableUEFI64.efi installed and my machine runs normally. Maybe others need to install the file. 3. I use wifi only, so I forgot to zip the ethernet driver. Sorry about that. In addition, I have made many fix to the dsdt.aml, and my fan also runs normally. You need to check that whether your cpu is always running at a high frequency so cause a high temperature or there is so much dust stuck inside your machine.

    How to get rid of any Sound Assertions on AppleHDA

    I also get the log 'Sound assertion in AppleHDAWidget at line 2181' in Mavericks if there is no 0x04 in the pincofig. Luckily I'm successful with speaker not spdif out.
  11. You can patch the usb3.0 on Mavericks for xps15 l501x, maybe the same for 502x. <key>KextsToPatch</key> <array> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> dTpIiwU9nQAA </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> 6zpIiwU9nQAA </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> Zj0AAQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> Zj0AAA== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> gUkIAABAAA== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> gUkIAAAAAA== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> QcdHCAAAQAA= </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> QcdHCAAAAAA= </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> xoDIAAAAAQ== </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> xoDIAAAAAA== </data> </dict> <dict> <key>Comment</key> <string>Enable USB3</string> <key>Find</key> <data> dU1Ii7voAQAA </data> <key>Name</key> <string>AppleUSBXHCI</string> <key>Replace</key> <data> 601Ii7voAQAA </data> </dict> </array> </dict>
