Not sure if there are different versions of the 1350 MiniPCI WLAN, but I'm running my Dell Inspiron 6000 with it just fine. Airport works flawlessly after appending the following entry to the AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext: <string>pci14e4,4320</string> This is found in the IO80211Family.kext's Info.plist located at /System/Library/Extensions/IO80211Family.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext/Contents/Info.plist You'll have to chmod, chown and kextcache the /System/Library/Extensions folder and then repair permissions after reboot -- as always -- for it to get recognized. Realtek has beta drivers on their website, but the installer does not work. I am going to try manually installing, maybe that will do the trick. Anyone have any of these working? It's Ralink 2500, but needs the replug patch and even then seems to disconnect 1/2 the time. Not to mention that USB software utility it uses, without a doubt the ugliest mac software/hardware combination to date. Feels like I'm using pre XP Windows. For the price it seems that you get a solid 802.11n card, but I think for less than half the price I may go for the Asus WL-138G (802.11g only) which is on the Broadcom chipset. thysm00 Posted January 6, 2008 Share Posted January 6, 2008 Hi, i'm just adding my recent good experience, i also have a natively working wireless card under leopard! i used a tp-link pci wireless card wich is atheros based and only worked (as aiport) with the 802.11 kext from 10.4.8. I just crashed with the leopard driver and correct ids. I bought a mini-pci to pci adapter and used the mini-pci card i used with my first hack, a braodcom one (see my sig) and i tried a fresh install. And i just worked out of the box! you can buy it for 20$ or even less, and the adaptor is also very cheap. So maybe this broadcom chipset is a good option for a laptop or a desktop. I'm not quite done with my Leopard install yet (gonna re-install another, better, closer to vanilla way than Kalyway 10.5.1), but this card works natively, and after changing my network settings and adding the MAC address to the ACL on my router everything was fine.
