I keep getting installation failed when I try to update from 10.6.3, I tried the 10.6.5 combo update and the 10.6.4 combo but they still don't work. Once in a while it'll be successful but on reboot it's still 10.6.3. And I can't boot from chameleon with the legacy kernel installed, with any kernel for that matter.

i managed to update my system to 10.6.6 without any problems, i also used the new kernel and that worked perfectly.

i still have a problem with programs like, itunes, kext installers (a few different ones(, and firefox not being able to run. after i click to launch them i get a crash error notice and the option to report to apple. do you have any idea how i could fix this?

thanks,

ratroder

ah. what do you mean by rerun the command line?

Also how should i run that boot file that was in the previous post?

this

amd_insn_patcher /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib.patched

cp /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib.patched /usr/lib/libSystem.B.dylib

for boot file replace it with one on mac partion

then restart

and there are bdmesg on anval folder open it will open terminal copy that on terminal and post it
