Swad
So, I think I'm getting CTS due to the hours I spend on the computer (mostly working on this site). Anyone else have it? Have any miracle cures for it? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22084-carpal-tunnel-syndrome/ Share on other sites
bofors
I get the same feeling occasionally. I have used a wrist support with my keyboard to improve posture, but now I actually switch my mouse hand for months at a time too and that has made the symptoms go away. If you are really concerned about it, you might want to look into orthopedic wrist splints. sandmanfvrga
Ergonomic keyboard. I use them at work and at home. Not bending your wrist and keeping the wrists straight helps. My right hand got bad when I encoded checks in a bank and later on in my computer jobs. I went ergo and have no problems. kevin_4e
Not that i have it but an older friend of mine got it. He was some kind of a doctor and as an elective surgery, he looked around the entire US and found what he thought was the best doctor for fixing it. Turns out the doctor made a mistake, cut the wrong stuff, and now he has a paralysed right hand. Really unfortunate. Hope your guy's cases aren't too serious. sandmanfvrga
UGH! I can't believe that. I would sue that doctor for everything he has. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22084-carpal-tunnel-syndrome/#findComment-148334 Share on other sites
Swad
I bought an ergonomic keyboard and trackball mouse... we'll have to see how they are long term but I love them so far! I'll write up a review sometime. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22084-carpal-tunnel-syndrome/#findComment-149249 Share on other sites
bofors
I think that most professional keyboardists (data entry) go with something like this: http://www.docortho.com/product.php?produc...=369&page=1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/22084-carpal-tunnel-syndrome/#findComment-149263 Share on other sites
BRP
Proper positioning of the keyboard is great, but another big RSI cause is the mouse. Proper posture is kind of important, too. No ergonomics can help you with that without effort on your part. A Nonny Moose
So, I think I'm getting CTS due to the hours I spend on the computer (mostly working on this site). Anyone else have it? Have any miracle cures for it? Good posture, good keyboarding, and weightlifting.
