now i am getting the nanoseconds error ;)

how do i resolve this one?

nanoseconds is not an error, it just shows you how long your system was running until the kernel panic occurred.

if you get a black screen, try all ports on your graphiccard, try it with and without a dvi2vga adapter

I have everything working but Ive noticed some weird bugs. Like sometimes some apps will crash. I had to load itunes twice before it showed up. Also im only getting around 6800 on geekbench 64. when I've seen some other users here that are getting 9000+ with my setup. I installed via Kakewalk. heres my setup.

i7 920

Gigabyte UD4P

6gb OCZ Platinum 1600mhz DDR3

Nvidia 9500GT

2x 640gb WD Caviar Black SATA

I also noticed in system profiler it shows my computer as a MacPro 3,1 where I see alot of others with the same setup showing up as MacPro4,1

The modelname key in the apple boot.plist didnt work either still says macpro3,1

anyone know if theres anything I can check or any tweaks I can do to get the geekbench score up or just a bit more stable.

thank you for replying! where would I get both the package and your smbios.plist? I tried searching this thread and didnt find the smbios file. did you mean your aboutthismac.pkg? And which gigabyte package? the 10.6.3. on the first page?

EDIT: Just did the combo update and all is well so far. audio is working and everything else that I can tell.

Thanks for the info. What about sleepenabler? Is there a new version out there yet?

does anyone know if Sleepenabler posted by bertmanaustria in the last update works with 10.6.4?

if you install the combo update 10.6.4 with sleepenabler you'll got a kernel panic...

if you want update to 10.6.4 you have to erase SleepEnabler.kext from S/L/E and E/E

With the new kext posted by Bertmannaustria on the first topic sleep mode works again!!!

thank you very much!!!

I appreciate your commitment!!

I have installed the Delock Gigabit LAN PCI Express Karte, 1 Port (89156) based on the recommendation on the first page of this topic but I cannot get JumboFrames activated. The card was recognized immediately.

I can only set the MTU to 1500 in System Preferences. Any idea how to do set it to 9000?

Hey all,

I have my machine up and running thanks to this guide for over 8 months now. Never had serious issues.

Only this time I have a slight annoyance... My sleep is broken!

It goes to sleep fine but doesn't wake up (Power LED goes on, screen stays blank)

Using 10.6.4 with appropriate SleepEnabler.kext

Is anyone else seeing this behavior?

Hey thanks for the guide, everything is fine. I have two hard drives (1 with win 7 and the other 1 with OSX) When i boot onto OSX and change time somehow osx manages to screw up my BIOS settings and windows 7 time. Any fix?

I think this got fixed in one of the later versions of Chameleon 2.

If you are on RC 2/3, try 4.

Updated the bootloader.

Not really miracle salvation :( With the dsdt I found here, Black screen on boot.

With a dsdt found on kexts.com boot works. Audio broken.

In the end I was able to go into sleep and wake-up. A few minutes after wake-up, kernel panic. Ouch...

Searched the logs but couldn't find a reason.

So, reboot... Try to sleep again. Wake up... Black screen.

It worked once (well, with a nice Kernel Panic to top it off), but now I'm back to black screening.

Some dsdt tweaking should do the trick. But I have no idea where to start. Is there like good documentation or a commented file to be found anywhere?

In any case, Bertmann. Vielen dank!

I'm sure if you would post a 'donate now' button somewhere here, your fans would show their gratitude :)

Hi guys,

I formatted my computer and installed additional hdds...

Now I have 2x320 GB in raid 0 and 2x1000GB in raid 0...previously I had OSx on a external HDD, but it got "burnt", so it's completely dead. :)

Now I was wondering if it's possibile to do so:

HDD0 2x320GB:

- Partition 1: System _ 500MB mirrored with the partition 1 on the other raid

- Partition 2: Windows 7 64 Bit _ 250 GB

- Partition 3: Snow Leopard 10.6.4 _ 200 GB

- Partition 4: Ubuntu 10.04 _ 157,5 GB

- Partition 5: Linux Swap _ 12 GB

HDD1 2x1000GB

- Partition 1: System _ 500MB (mirrored from the other one, to have a copy of the boot root)

- Partition 2: Windows 7 64 Bit _ 50 GB (as a system for urgency)

- Partition 3: Data0 _ 1000 GB

- Partition 4: Data1 _ 500 GB

- Partition 5: Backups _ 449.5 GB

In your opinion, is this possibile, starting without any operable osx system?

And if it's possibile, can you give me some advice or link guide?

PS:

I was forgetting my system:

GA-EX58-UD4P

Radeon Sapphire 4870 1GB Vapor-X

2x320GB raid 0

2x1000GB raid 0

3x2GB Corsairs 1600mhz ddr3

i7 920 @ 3,8 Ghz
