aberracus Posted May 8, 2006 Share Posted May 8, 2006 Ok, i know JAS is doing it just to help as myzar and maxuss have done, and i know by JAS words that he doesnt understand too much about everything (but obviously much more than me and a lot of ppl), anyway i need to report some problems with JAS 10.4.6 dvd installation: Ok, i used tu have proper cube fliping effect with my atix1600xt running under maxuss 10.4.4 upgraded to myzar 10.4.5 and with jas upgrade to 10.4.6...(and used to have iphoto working perfectly and automatic login at mac start) But i deleted my partition and maxxus 10.4.4 disc auto upgraded to 10.4.5 from myzar was lost too. So i installed JAS 10.4.6.... and everything works except cube flipping effect, IPHOTO is a disaster the scroll guide dont dissapear and if i do something olike red eye reduction it wwnt a white screen instead of the picture. havent encountered any other problem yet. but i would love to have my ati working perfectly again, probably the only way would be to get the x1000 kext from 10.4.4 if anybody ha it and instrucctions to use it i will love the help. BTW. Water effect in the dashboard works perfect. department27 Posted May 9, 2006 Share Posted May 9, 2006 I too had the same problems. I have a saphire x1600xt running under the 10.4.6 JaS DVD. I replaced my IOPCIFamily.kext with one from my 10.4.5 Myzar extensions backup, and that fixed my problem. Autologin works and so does the cube effect. But what happend now, now some applications wich use quartz extreme crashes with unknown errors. when i remove my ati*.kext i still have no quartz support and the applications (imovie, photoline, imagetricks) works great, but when i load the ATI*.kext the apps crashes. before replacing the IOPCIFamily.kext, those apps works with quartz too... i dont understand it... :pirate2: now i try to recopy from jas cd the IOPCIFamily.kext (from 10.4.6.) but i dont get the "cube and autologin errors" again... (i uses the IOPCIFamily.kext from intel.base.system.pkg) is that the right package on jas cd, which contains the 10.4.6 update? thx for help...
