  1. Hi, I tried to use the latest version 1.2.4 with my ASMedia ExpressCard 2 port USB 3.0 on my MacBook Pro early 2008, with 10.8.4 installed. First time after insert the ExpressCard, if I try to plug in USB 3.0 HDD, it only operates in Hi-Speed mode (480MB/s). But if I eject the drive then plug it in again in the same port, it can operates at Super Speed Bus. This condition happens to the other port. If I want to get Super Speed Bus then I have to plug then eject the drive and then plug it in again. With the ExpressCard inside, my MBP cannot go to the sleep mode. But if I unplug the ExpressCard, the sleep function is normal. I also tried older version 1.1.6 & 1.1.4, but got the same problem. I just wonder is there a way to fix this problem ?
  2. is it normal to have the System Profiler read the bus speed only at 1.2GHz while the board specification says that it runs at 1.6GHz ? I tried sysctl hw.busfrequency in terminal and it says 1.2GHz Do I need to update my BIOS or just change a setting in my BIOS ?
  3. The NVIDIA 9500GT Thread

thanks a lot pal but I made some modification to get the system profiler read correctly as NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT, which is after I installed NVIDIA_9000_Series_Driver_v2, I continue with the gfxutil method here http://forum.netkas.org/index.php?topic=222.0 so I can use EFI strings.
  4. iDeneb doesn't reboot

like it's being said in this post : http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=0&p=915890 , it's being caused by your display driver. I also had the same problem whenever trying to install iDeneb 1.3 with GeForce 9500 GT, the solution is boot into -x mode and fix the driver with the proper method
  5. Is it safe to update the Security Update 2008-007 on 10.5.5 using this program ?
  6. About this Mac

On mine, I just edit the /System/Library/CoreServices/Resources/English.lproj/AppleSystemInfo.strings, and change : "UnknownCPUKind" = "Unknown" to "UnknownCPUKind"= "Intel Core 2 Duo" which is mine. With this About This Mac always shows the correct clock speed, because I overclock my 2.53GHz E7200 to 3.33GHz
  7. Core 2 E7200

I use E7200 on iDeneb 10.5.5, overclock to 3.16GHz and runs without problem
  8. [Solved] Blue Screen after changing resolution or refresh

I also had this problem on my GeForce 8600GT 1GB. If you look closely on your Display in System Profiler, you should find no display connected. But I managed to solve this. First I get the proper NVCAP strings using NVCAP Maker from here. To get the VGA ROM you can read here. After put the proper NVCAP into EFI strings, I use VGA to DVI adapter then connect my LCD monitor to DVI. That's all.
  9. Grey Apple Boot screen

I tried apply 1400x900 which is my 19" LCD resolution, but the grey Apple logo sticks with I think 800x600 resolution, anyone has another solution ?

  14. Hi all, I have ASUS P5VD1-X and a GeForce 7300 GS 128MB. I follow Rammjet's method, clean install with JaS 10.4.8 AMD Intel SSE2 SSE3 PPF1 Defiant diskutil biker880 ICH7R patch integrated, and select the Natit for NV40 NVidia card, at the first boot it won't show the login windows, just a black screen. Then I reboot in single mode to disable the Natit first, then I can login. After modifying all GeForce, NVDAresman, and NVDANV40 kexts I apply the first the Natit for dual display 0.2 then Natit Universal installer from Neopheus, but neither of them work, when I apply the Natit it just turn black at the login screen. Please help me Thanks
