Hello, I've tried to follow your tutorial but I have this error (with strange characters on the screen) booting the system after the first install:

If I used the -x boot option the system doesn't stop and it's all ok, but in safe mode...

Can you help me, please?

Robert_Xes, your tutorial was what allowed me to install leopard on my systems many months ago. I was wondering if you were going to make a tutorial on how to upgrade to snow leopard. I have an Asus P5Q pro, and I haven't seen a tutorial here that was for the P5Q pro. Can you point me to the right direction? Thanks

Yes.....I am going to create a tutorial for Installing Snow Leopard on P5Q....but my Graphics Card broke down hence I was saving money for the new one...hence the delay....I think I am going to buy GT 240 or 9800 GT.... I may be buying it this monday...once I do that I will start the research and will create a Guide for that....

You can follow the guides below to install Snow Leopard on P5Q.

OR

The guide that I will be creating will have MBR support as well...

The bios it's ok.

I reflashed it and the storaage are set to AHCI (HDD, the dvd player no, are EIDE).

Error are when I try to install iakatos.

Now I try with Ideneb and if it's not work, i try to install ideneb on a flash drive and install it. If don't work I buy a new storage dvd sata.

:)

iATKOS installs on Asus P5K pro with only two kext and a boot-loader

5 kext + boot-loader on Snow Leopard

everything works

You are trying to install Leopard or Snow Leopard ?

You can try changing the ACPI to S3 and then try it out

@RoberT_XeS

Hello Robert,

I have been trying to install Mac OsX for nearly 1 month and got no success. Tried ideneb 10.5.6, iatkos, ipc, kalyway, leo4all but no progress. Got errors, searched the forums blah blah..

Finally i changed my motherboard to P5Q. (It was P5KPL-AM SE) Tried those distros with P5Q also. No Mac OS X for me..

I looked at your survey results and seems like ~%80 of the population seems to work it out. So i will give it a try for this tutorial but first i need those downloads.

I found ideneb 10.5.5 but, to be sure, can you provide me some torrent links to all of these 3 downloads? I really don't want to mess it up this time. It would be swell.

Download IDeneb 10.5.5 - (4.38 GB) or you can also use iAtkos 10.5.5 (2.64 GB)

Download Mac_OS_X_Leopard_10.5.4_9E25_Retail.dmg (7.01 GB).

Download MAC OS X 10.5.7 UPDATE

Thx,

ngawethuu

Hi everyone,

After two days od trying to install iDeneb 1.6 Lite Edition and 1.5.1 (also iAtkos v7 and iPC ppf6)

still can't make this work.

My comp:

CPU: Q6600 stock settings

Mobo: ASUS P5Q

HDD(1) on IDE (i'm dedicating him all for mac)

GPU: GTX 260 zotac 896 MB

Ok i will describe what I do before installation:

1. Changed bios form stock(dosent work) to version from this forum (P5Q Asus 2208 by smith)

2. Changed raid to AHCI (i'm running other two hdd in raid)

3. Sets first boot on dvd, and second on HDD(1)

4. Restart, boot iDeneb, select lang, switch kernel (I've tried: vanilla: 9.7.0, 9.8.0, Qoopz 9.8, 9.7, 9.6, AnV 9.6)

5. Other things I've switched are: ICHx Fixed (also tried without this in couple sets), enthernet driver realtek: all, video: Nvidia: NVDarwin 768 MB+1024.

6. Also check installation (iDeneb 1.6) almost stock setting(in installation) where I checked vanilla 9.8 or Qoopz 9.8/9.7

Ok its not all configurations what i've checked. But all the time i'm getting the same problem while installation.

Hello everybody! :robot:

I try to downgrade the bios of my motherboard Asus P5Q3, with bios from Juzzi, and i can't because this version of rom file is older than the original bios 1001.

I have change the date of creation of the file on windows xp but it didn't work...

If you have a solution...

Dear RoberT_XeS,

I have 10.5.6 working on P5Q-EM but i can't boot without boot123 CD :/

what did i do (i used rocksteady's pdf):

1) updated the BIOS

2) booted with boot123 CD

3) installed 10.5.4 from Retail DVD

4) booted with boot123 CD

5) updated to 10.5.6 combo

i had osx working (except the proper video driver - the resolution was only 1024x768)

but i can't boot without a cd:

- if i just boot i have a black screen with "_" on the left top

- if i install chameleon or the other bootloader - then i see the grey window with an apple, the "progress clock" runs, but the system does not boot, "clock" runs forever until i turn the PC off

- if i press F8 and boot with boot123 CD - MAC OS loads, everything works except the proper resolution as i mentioned before

what can help me?
