Well actually the standalone installer is not that interesting, but the combo updater is.....in fact, I think it's the first ever combo updater available for intel based Macs....

If maxxuss can hack it as well, it might make updating all the pre 10.4.5 systems a lot easier....

Not that I'm convinced that updating in a frenzy is the smart way to go....unless there's a fix you can't live without.....

I'm happy in 10.4.3, everything I need, works, so I'm staying put....let everyone else sort out the unforseen problems....

In case any PPC Mac users are reading this, there are some "issues" with 10.4.6 PPC update being reported at Ars:

In particular, it is claimed that the update triggers two restarts with the second being attributed to a firmware update (very unusual).

I got two restarts on my G4, freaked me out for a second! Now it's running just fine.

the update for Mac OS X 10.4.6 for Intel has been moved

"Updates Calculator so that the percentage button ("%") will no longer divide, under certain circumstances, when you expect it to calculate percentage—this could happen in Mac OS X 10.4.3 through 10.4.5."

LOL!!

Changes look minor - unless you were a victim of the previous bugs.
i just installed 10.4.6 using the Maxxuss Decrypted Files method. lost QE and CI on my gma900, but will work on that after i get some icecream at the store. :)

don't know if it's stable or not, but i'm typing here within it. :construction:

That is good to know, so we should expect no major problems getting 10.4.6 running.
