Found this kext (AppleHDA.kext_HP_Pavilion_6500) somewhere on I.M.

it is intended for HP Pavilion 6500 but it works perfect on my HP dv9548 laptop (ALC268)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mute

volume slider

int./ext. speakers (headphone)

int./ext mic

auto sensing

All OK !

Installation:

Remove: HDAEnabler.kext if u use it, same goes for AppleAzalia

also remove original or any other AppleHDA.kext

install this one using KextHelper, Reboot and see.

NOTE: I use it with EFI string in com.apple.boot.plist

Will it work for u ? I don't know.

Reboot and see.

Success here with the Toshiba AppleHDA and the HDA Enabler. Installed with OSX86 tools, repaired permissions, removed extensions cache, reboot. Now I have full audio: internal speakers, line out (headphone) and line in (microphone).

Installed on Toshiba M115-S3144 running iDeneb 1.6 lite.

Thanks guys. This forum rocks!

Hi, could you give me a hand?

I have already installed two kexts in order to make my audioboard work (ALC660): appleHDA.kext e ALCinject.kext and so the audio are working troughout the internal speakers but the jack port of headphone aren't working.

Do you know what can i do to fix this problem?

Thank you since now...

Leonardo.

Post here only feedbacks when using these kexts, dont't ask for help, for that go to another topic:

How to Patch AppleHDA.kext

THX Eddie94 for making installers. U are the man!

This deletes AppleAzaliaAudio.kext and install AppleHDA.kext and AppleHDAEnabler.kext!

In all the installer you must select your driver!ONly into the alc268 installer is selected default the first MT driver! In others you must select your driver!

P.S. U must remove EFI string for audio if U have

Packages:

ALC861VD: ALC861VD.mpkg.zip

ALC268: ALC268.mpkg.zip

ALC660/660VD: ALC660_660VD.mpkg.zip

ALC861VD Leo

Kext should give U IntSpeaker, HeadPhones, IntMic, ExtMic and Volume control with balance but no mute. It will show devices in System Profiler. It is for Leopard.

MadTux_ALC861VD_beta_Leo.zip

This is for Toshiba, poste the feedback and a model of laptop.

KEXT: MTux_ALC861VD_Toshiba_SysProf.zip

ALC268 Tiger/Leo

Thx collit99 for fixing headphones node pins in a kext.

How To Install

Remove AzaliaAudio.kext

Install HDAEneabler from Kabyl and the ALC kext downloaded from here.

Repair permissions and kextcache with OSx86Tools

reboot.

It will not kernel panic on HDAController. It just works, on Tiger and Leo.

HDAEneabler from Kabyl

HDAEnabler.kext.zip

Please post results. Don't just download :-)

Sound should come from speakers, and when you plug the headphones it should switch automaticly

Hi, first i wanna thank who had started this forum and now i'm gonna share my experience:

I have a ALC600 and the audio is working troughout the internal speakers and the phones (it switches automaticaly)only by installing the files that are here in this post.

So, dont lose time reading lot of stuffs, here there are all the drivers needed to make it work!!

Just follow the steps!!!

I guess all development has stopped on these drivers?

I've got an ALC268 in my Acer Extensa 5620 laptop. VoodooHDA works perfectly, but I can't use it, since it's useless after sleeping (incidentally, it seems like development has stopped on that as well). So instead I'm using HDAEnabler and AppleHDA now, which gets me audio before and after sleep- but has some annoying glitches (no mute, can't even lower the audio all the way, static in the right speaker and headphone). This is the one last thing that's bugging me on an otherwise perfect running 10.5.8 install...

Lovely. I've got sound and even the built in hardware volume controls work.

I've got a problem though, I haven't got a headphone output, it's just the onboard speakers, I haven't tried hooking my speakers in yet but I suspect it'll be the same. Anyone have a solution? Should I delete this driver and try another solution or can I add some other minor kext to get it working?

Toshiba A200-1HR ISKAE Motherboard with ALC861d (From the manual, Vista showed it as a generic soundcard)

Please reply. I will send candy.
