XanthraX
I registered and watching this community from the beginning Win2OSX than OSX86 Forums. I have no worlds in my language or others to thank to all of the great contributors here, deadmoo, maxxus, JaS - the ever legend, semthex, Uphuck (even I didn't use one of his distros), Kalyway, eddie and others that I can't count now their names. Because my financial situation, I could not buy a real Mac yet, but I don't forget that osx86 made many people buying Macs. The OSX86 did what Apple did not, to make the people that never heard about Apple Computers and Macs before, to taste and accommodate with this awesome OS. Thanks to OSX86 community, to all active or retired members that could do this miracle possible.

munky
omg br0adband! nice to hear from you. ah yes, the good old days... installing Marklar.iso on my PowerBook.... the screams of 'OMFG I GOT A BLUE SCREEN AND A MOUSEPOINTER!!!11!' in IRC... then onto DDing deadmoo... (this is when us old-timers go all misty-eyed, ysee). But I must say I heartily agree with Dense. Things have changed for the worse in the community. Maybe it got too big. Maybe too commercialised, I dunno. But we need to think about how we're going to fix this for us all, or we're going to keep losing our best people as they go underground. eject
3years ago i didn't even had a clou about what osx is but this didn't stop me from laughing at people with apple computers (for no reason from todays point of view) i heard of osx as jas 10.4.8 was the popular install dvd and it worked fabulous on my sse2 amd machine. but the osx scene seemed to hang on each others troaths, everyone was calling everyone, liar, thief or whatsoever. what was annoying because i had no clue what was before this seems to be a good point to say thanks for so many things, i can't imagine to use any other os at the moment and without this project i woul still laugh at it

MoonScryer
I remember. I remember trying deadmoo and then literally tripping across the IRC channels. I remember praying the DVD would actually boot, let alone install. No LAN, no sound, software rendered, but it ran! bender12 and everyone, we salute you. rundll32
Well, I was working for few years on Mac's, when this project begin. I do install on old PC but it did not work since, exept power on and of, and work in OS X envorment, I realy don't know anything "under" the OS. Today I know what kext is, extensions, NVCAp values, sudo, chmod, -x, -s, -v.... and lots of thinks that make my life wont boot, "please shut down" and rest of frustrating things. But, hey, it is fun after all! Thanx!
