santitf
Mine on FS Stylistic ST5020D is Intel 855GME chipset. As long as I know 855 should be the same chipset. GMA means Graphic Media Accellerator or something similar meaning the integrated Intel graphic chip is included. So long it looks I will stick to 10.4.8 and will try to solve the sleep or brightness issue. Leo for my rig seems too complicated so far, unless I find the right setup from all the options before installation. I will keep on trying, I have macbook too and would love my tablet to be fully usable with Leo, but until fast start, sleep and brightness issues are solved, I'll have to stick with Vista, will inform of any progress. Thanks kkm

Yes it seems SSE2 and 855 chipset spell disaster for this distro. No one who has them both has been successful that I have heard.
Acidfever
I hope JaS is going to release ppf's soon or I'll have to try fresh iDeneb.. Don't depend on iDeneb being the answer. I tried iDeneb before i tried this JaS release and while it did install (very very slowly) it didn't manage to boot. It seems every release has some differences that make it work on one machine but fail on the other. I like the fact that iDeneb's release contains all updates until now but then again i can just do an Apple update and arrive at the same stage. Both have made a great release i think but only one boots on my system and in the end this is what it's all about. :censored2:
TrueEvil
Yep, Acidfever, stability of every release of OSX86 is very depending on hardware. I like JaS, just because his DVD with 10.4.6 was first in my hackintosh 'practice' and it worked like a charm.

Flashlab
I'm having boot errors (boot1: error) with GUID. With MBR it works but I'd like to have GUID; is this a kernel choice? With Kalyway it works; I thought this was using the Vanilla kernel? Any hints are welcome!

GiaFast
Same here. After the light blue screen of the "installer" is shown it just hangs and thats it. I'm not sure that i have the same problem. I can succeed in the installation-process and after that (after the first reboot of system) the system starts to load. The screen that i can see is a grey screen in background with the apple centered in the screen. The cursor is like when it's loading but it does not load the system. My specifications: ASUS A6VA Intel Centrino Processor 1Gb Ram Display Card: Ati Mobility X700 JAS: Any help? Thank you!

Kramark
Well, i tried the given solution and now all i get is waiting for root device. I already patched the cd(GMA900 and extension.mkext). I tried different setup and choose even the simplest configuration e.g. 9.4 kernel,10.5.2 system.kext and apple97audio same result waiting for root device.. anyone can give me something that i can try?? I also tried putting the patched extensions.mkext again using other computer and repair permission the same result.

psmith
Jas, Another Great one!!! I was running your 10.5.2 release and used this to upgrade it. Glad I used time machine though, I had to use it to get the extensions folder back from 10.5.2 and the Filesystems folder back to get my cdrom drive to work again. I also had to use the extensions.mkext and GMA900 trick to get it working correctly. After running this cd I was able to run all the apple upgrades right off the bat and all went smoothly. Thanks again. :D
