(MoC)
I'm thinking way over more. Almost every user here has built a hack, and some don't even register. Numbers may be close to the millions!

djet
I think it's not over a million..... many fail, many don't have the money or the brains. It's a fairly compilicated procedure (for a computer nub) and I think many people just are plain scared off by the difficulty.

If I had come across OSx86 not in 2006, but several years before, I would have failed or maybe not even started. Building my own computer? Requiring money and knowledge I didn't have. Tinkering with an OS not made for a PC? Something you dare to do only because you have plenty of previous experience with other operating systems. Heck, at least 90% of people I know don't even know/dare to install Windows.

Numberzz
I mean people who really aren't able to. Last time I had to install Windows, it asked me which drive it wanted to install Windows on. I nearly shat bricks.
