d11wtq
OK I have a UK keyboard. On x86 PC's at least the @ symbol is on the same key as a single quote (next to the RETURN key). The double quote is on the "2" key... I thought that changing my Locale from US to UK in International would fix this but it did nothing.... I've since found that other regions do make the keys change so I'm gonna ask a really dumb question: "Where is the @ and " on a UK Mac keyboard?" Perhaps I can modify these settings somewhere to work with my PC keyboard? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10239-how-to-write/#findComment-64018 Share on other sites

ampTK
TB205GTI, On the Dock click the app called System Preferences, in it click International (the icon is an UN flag), then click on the Input Menu tab. Choose your layout and remove the one is selected now. Don't be too surprised if it is a little different than you are used to. TB205GTI
Adazp: I don't think you understand me. The keyboard layout is fine (as I stated it's Danish - which it should be). The problem is that the ALTGR doesn't work like normal. All the special caracters on the 1-2-3...0 keys are not accessible due to the fact that ALTGR doesn't "work".. Segr3do: Same problem - apart from the fact that my T42 doesn't have a windows key.. El_Hobo
since, in some (Swedish included), layouts it´s the win key, and you don't have one, have you tried simply remapping that special key´s? system preferences -> keyboard -> special keys (i think, not at osx now) and change what they do.. I remapped them so that alt+gr does the same in osx as in win/Linux.. it eases a lot of problems..
