I read something the other day that told the correct way to say OS "X," but I think it's wrong. Do you say it as "X" or "10?"

Saying OS "Ex" makes me think about sex, which is a pretty good way to ruin what might have otherwise been a productive five minutes.

sex is perfectly productive, its all about exercise. there was a column in some magazine taht said you burn a crapload of calories during sex.

Granted, it -is- OS 10, but their versioning is kind of funny..
Mac OS X 10.1.4
Mac OS Ten Ten . One . Four ?
Or is it, Mac OS Ten 1.4?
Or Mac OS Ten Tiger?
or Tiger?
Lovely.

It's Mac OS Ten - (More spacifically) Ten Point One Point Four
OK, so it's missing a comma.

i use both so i voted x, but now that i think about i'm pretty sure i say ten quite a bit more often. however, as a wise robot named bender once said, "the x makes it sound cool!"

it is mac os ten point four point one or two. depends on what you have.
mac os 10.1.4 is an very old release. The first useable version i think.
the actual ppc mac version is 10.4.2 ! not 10.1.4
the real mac os 10.0.0 was unuseable slow.
