decisivemoment
On an older Mac system, for reference . . . 208 seconds (3 minutes, 28 seconds) on a PowerMac G4 Digital Audio upgraded to 1.2GHz, 1.25GB RAM, 120GB 7200rpm Western Digital hard drive, Photoshop 7, Panther 10.3.9 Looks like I should try and struggle through a couple more laptopless months for an Intel notebook, huh? Count me as stunned at how well Photoshop seems to be doing in emulation. I traded my TiBook prematurely (October) preparing to get one of the current 15 inch laptops, but the screen drove me nuts. For this test ONLY : Apple price is x2 compare to homemade PC (dual G5 vs P4 630) Quad G5 is 5x price and 5x faster, more or less...

Guest Stefisun
PowerMac G5 Dual 2GHz, 2GB RAM, Raptor 74 GB Boot/Applications Disk, Seagate 160 GB 7200 scratch disk, loaded programs: Safari with 10 tabs open, GyazMail, Lotus Notes, Dashboard with 8 widgets. Unsanity AppEnhancer with Fruitmenu and Silk running, LittleSnitch. MacOS X 10.4.4 8G32 Photoshop CS2, Test.jpg, Radial Blur Spin, 100, Best. Time: 47 seconds. Last time I checked with OSX86 10.4.1 on a 3.6 GHz Pentium 4 640, Rosseta had a huge penalty for Photoshop, and some PC numbers I see here with Rosseta are very "unbelievable". Are you guys sure you input "100" for the filter? Edited January 14, 2006 by Stefisun
