  1. still waiting for root device

Either you forgot to pre-patch the iso with Anti-TPM ( the results of this would be a hang just after the blue screen appears, with the beachball, preventing you from installing, or booting from an unpatched image ) Also, it may be an extensions problem, its recommended to take out the AppleTPMACPI.kext, AppleFPMem.kext and if you dont have an ATI card, the ATI kexts, before install. Also, at the boot prompt try -x -v platform=X86PC
  2. still waiting for root device

2 things may cause this using cable select ( CS ) mode on yoru hard-drives -> only use master/slave having your Hard-Drive connected to a third-party or add-in controller card, such as a scsi card or a non-chipset IDE/SATA controller ( such as the GigaRaid chip ) -> try to connect all boot drives via the onboard integrated SATA/IDE controllers ( ICH4/5/6/7 from intel should all be supported )
  3. Azureus 2.3.0.6 for 10.4.3 working

im using the default java with 10.4.3 install, works fine. Also, its not slow, and it has easily downloaded at 120kb/sec while uploading capped at 6kb/s
  4. Two problems on 8F1111

nobody has a definite answer, but it improves performance with LOTS of things for many people, if it improves for you, them leave it deleted, if not, leave it in
  5. Azureus 2.3.0.6 for 10.4.3 working

worked flawlessly, and hasnt crashed or anything in about 8 hours with 4 torrents. on a native install of 8f1111 updated to 8f1111a with only anti-tpm applied.
  6. Going to attempt OSx86

macosx_10.4.3_8f1111_for_dtk_userdvd.dmg this is the original image for 8f1111
  7. Problems with Build 8F1111 Install

wasnt aware of the /PAE flag for windows. also, what is the point of mounting it in daemon tools, can you not just let vmware mount it directly.
  8. Two problems on 8F1111

my advise, boot with platform=x86pc delete AppleTPMACPI.kext delete AppleFPMem.kext delete Extensions.kext if you have an sse3 cpu, make sure you have not patched out sse3 ( deadmoo image is prepatched ) also, run top or another monitor while running iTunes to check if anything in particular is to blame. I reccommend ensuring an absolute minimum of 512mb ram if you can, 1GB makes a very nice difference.
  9. Photoshop CS works flawlessly!!!!

for photoshop cs2, i was origanlly only able to launch when ommiting the platform=x86pc flag. after removine AppleFPMem.kext , iTunes works very fast ( no skipping or anything ) and photoshop works flawlessly too, all this while still having platfrom=x86pc
  10. iTunes doesnt work as it is ppc only, which requires rosetta. The deadmoo image is using a kernel which ignores sse3 commands, so you need to replace it with an original unpatched one, in addition to the CoreGraphics file. Also, try the platform=x86PC boot flag, it might help
  11. Problems with Build 8F1111 Install

first, you cannot use 8f1111 in vmware, as the PAE capability doesnt exist in VMware yet, and there is no patch for it. You dont mount anything in alcohol burn the disc to a physical DVD after any neccesary patching, and then boot from the DVD and install to a clean hard-drive if you want to use vmware, use the 'deadmoo' vmware patch files ( tiger-x86.img )which is 10.4.1 and prepatched from sse3->sse2 and anti-tpm not sure if 8f1099 10.4.3 works on vmware.
  12. Keyboard and mouse not working

until osx works with 'usb emulation' enabled, i do believe you are snookered. however it is also very odd that you wouldnt have any ps2 ports, even all modern motherboards i believe have them ( except one i think, hope thats not the one you got lol ) if you had a ps22 port, you could just use a usb->ps2 adapter i guess.
  13. Photoshop Performance Test (CS or CS2)

  14. Problems with Build 8F1111 Install

open ultraiso , then in one of its menus, select convert to iso, do not attempt to do a file-open to read the dmg. i believe that should work
  15. Problems with Build 8F1111 Install

it all depends on the CPU, whether it has XD capability, PAE, SSE 2 or SSE3 etc. for My CPU, an Pentium 4 630 , it has all the above. and is EMT64/EIST/SSE3/PAE/PAT/XD/HT only patch i needed was the tpm. the ppf patches automatically alter the iso image. the tpm is raw files, and so you need transmac to read the HFS+ volume, copy over those files, and save then burn it. if you save the iso using ULtraISO, it will discard the HFS+ filetable, and preserver only the ISO table, resulting in an unbootable DVD, resulting in immediate restart.
