Looks like it's still favoring the high frequency. I've attached ~/library/ssdtprgen's content, the ACPI folder contains the original ssdt/acpi, and the patched dsdt. It was complaining that they didn't exist so I copied them in, and ran it again.

Should I ignore the error, and run it again with the files deleted?

Thanks again for all of your help last night :).

The new config doesn't seem to change the speedstepping. Even with idle loads I'm still seeing the same frequencies for the most part.

I downgraded to revision 4049 per your recommendation, and copied your configuration back in. The speed stepping sill appears to be the same unfortunately.

Hmm it still doesn't appear to be stepping correctly. Should I try clearing the nvram?

I checked the power widget in Windows (and recorded a log) to verify speed stepping is working correctly / there's no MSR lock.

Success! You rock MaLd0n! :)

I upgraded clover again, and it's still working so that's good. If I use the generated SSDT file it'll break again. Do you think dumping the patched SSDT clover generates would work?

Is there a way to decide how often it'll step? I've noticed that while Windows will maintain 0.8 ghz for a bit, OS X will continuously jump between different frequencies even when idle.

Thank you again for you help with my Sierra install.  I noticed however that my USB 3 is not completely correct.  I have a USB 2.0 hub inside the 3.0, etc... (See screenshot).  Easy fix?

USB 3.0 speed does not seem to be what it should be neither...

Hello,

Thank you a lot of you time and effort. I do really appreciate it.

It doesn't work.

What I did was this:

1- I replace the clover folder

2- I ran the clover installation with the settings you told me

3- Graphics wouldn't boot; so I reboot using usb drive

4- Installed agdpfix and rebooted

5- Wouldn't load

6- Went into boot args and deleted nvda_drv=1 and it still wouldn't boot

what is wrong?

the ideal is, use a fresh install, install clover with these options, replace folder and install web driver
