I've tried on two of my hacks: MBP9,1 and MP5,1. In both cases the default FakeSMC version is displayed. The Z68 is still running MP3,1 so there's no point trying on that one.

Give me clover log. Strange. My old laptop(macbookpro8,1 smbios) shown smc rev that overrided by clover.

Skylake laptop is same.

Here you go.

i see clover already overrided smc rev, epci, rplt in your laptop.

did you still see smc-revision 1.30f3 in ioreg?

here is my ioreg screenshot. smc rev is overrided by clover

hi,

this is probably a noob question but i can t see my smbios tables in linux

my setup:

Latest Clover from sf ("emulating" uefi on my bios only pc)

Archlinux (direct kernel boot from clover)

dmidecode

i should see my SMBIOS 2.7 and 100 structures, while i can only see an SMBIOS 3.0 and 4 structures

thanks

I don't use EmuVariable UEFI on any of my hacks because they all have working NVRAM.

I tried it on the laptop, but it didn't fix the problem. Still getting the default SMC version in profiler and IOReg.

Okay. We need to find other solution or edit rev in info.plist.

Thank you for testing

Hi,

Look at here : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291655-ozmosis/page-220

You can get RPit an RBr key from SMC update file. :)

There is a little change in REV last byte, I don't know when but compare old and recent SMC file. ;)

For exemple:

MacBookPro6,1 : 1.57f18

Buffer in file : 01 57 0f 00 00 18

MacbookAir6,2 : 2,13f15

Buffer in file : 02 13 0f 00 15 00

In Plateformdata.c this is not good.

 AsciiStrCpy (gSettings.RBr,  gSettings.RPlt); //SmcBranch[Model]); // as no other ideas

Or structure is different.

Mac-7DF21CB3ED6977E5.smc MacbookAir6,2.

SMC Revision keys

REV          : 02 13 0f 00 15 00
RBr          : 6a 34 31 6a 34 33 00 00
RPit         : 6a 34 33 00 00 00 00 00
End of buf ? : 00 00 75 95 86 08 00 00 00 00

At the moment to extract keys :

./SmcExtract Mac-7DF21CB3ED6977E5.smc

./SmcExtract anysmcfile.smc

SMC files come from Sierra App install

Fred

nice :). thank you for tips.

i can exactly add new data in platformdata. i confimed your files have useful smc keys. especially new model.

thank you again.

@FredWst

i complied SmcExtract for ECPI. but i cant get ECPI

    printf("\nSMC Revision keys\n\n");

    printf("REV          : ");

    for (i=32;i>(32-6);i--)

        printf("%02x ",buffer[cnt-i]);

    printf("\n");

    printf("ECPI          : ");

    for (i=23;i>(23-8);i--)                    // i=40 or over, hex shown FF FF, so i decrease value step by step. but i can't find ECPI. I already have imac17,1 ECPI. so when decrease i, still not show

        printf("%02x ",buffer[cnt-i]);

    printf("\n");

    printf("RBr          : ");

    for (i=26;i>(26-8);i--)

        printf("%02x ",buffer[cnt-i]);

    printf("\n");

    printf("RPit         : ");

    for (i=18;i>(18-8);i--)

        printf("%02x ",buffer[cnt-i]);

    printf("\n");

    printf("End of buf ? : ");

    for (i=10;i> 0;i--)

        printf("%02x ",buffer[cnt-i]);

    printf("\n");

    printf("\n");

    free(buffer);

    return 0;

i=40 or over, hex shown FF FF, so i decrease value step by step. but i can't find ECPI. I already have imac17,1 ECPI. so when decrease i, still not show

SmcExtract can only filters now

REV          : 02 33 0f 00 10 00

RBr          : 6a 39 35 6a 39 35 61 6d

RPit         : 6a 39 35 00 00 00 00 00

End of buf ? : 00 00 8c a2 eb 75 00 00 00 00.

if you add ECPI filter in SmcExtract code, it will be more useful. also i want to shown all blank values

EECC ui32 blank

EECT ui32 blank

ENV0 ui8  blank

EPCA ui32 blank

EPCF flag blank

EPCI ui32 blank

EPCV ui16 blank

thanks in advance
