I had this on all my computers )including real macs) starting with the first Yosemite betas. If you turn on the console you see what the problems is. It takes ages to move loads of tiny small files. This abundance of small files comes from my LaTeX installation. It is true Unix 1 billion tiny files stuff.

Eventually it is done, took 3h on my MBP2010

Hello friend Dr. Hurt

Do you mean the GM3 (14A388a) the same build as the final (14A389)?

So you think that if new updates etc. 10.10.1 is that you can download and install even with the GM3 14A388a these updates?

I have to load no desire, extra this the Final with about 5 GB and reinstall everything.

Thank you for your feedback

Parts of the final GM are still buggy. Parallels runs like {censored} on it until you discover a trick that must be performed in order for it to work properly.
