  1. OS X Yosemite available today...

Parts of the final GM are still buggy. Parallels runs like {censored} on it until you discover a trick that must be performed in order for it to work properly.
  2. I changed it. It was my duty.
  3. I like Yosemite...can't stand the look of the new Finder icon. Too smiley.
  4. I wish they would just release it already instead of all this foolishness and update as they go. The candidates are fine. I just hate the way these companies talk about a release 2 years in advance (sarcasm)....and you have to wait all that time before they produce it. The whole while they give you these little tidbits drving a user insane. If these companies have a product that's going to make my computing experience more interesting and useful....quit the talk and put it out.
  5. iAtkos is not free anymore :(

The maker of this distro will be facing a a flurry of Apple lawyers soon if a copy of the OS is included in the product
  6. Mavericks Is out

I don't know about the rest of you but I have the GM1 (13A598) installed and when I try to download the GM2 (13A603) from software update...all I get is a drop down message that says, "OS X v10.9 is already installed on this computer. Use the Updates page to install the 10.9 update or if you would like to download the full OS X installer click Continue." When I click continue...nothing happens...it won't download. Anybody else experience this? I'm signed into my App Store account and the updates page says nothing about updating the OS.
  7. I don;t know if this will work for you or not...but it did for me. I actually had to set "GraphicsEnabler" to "no" in the Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist to get my setup to work with hdmi.
  8. The pics show it running Windows.
  9. Not sure where to put this...so I stuck in this part of the forums. Thanks to this forum and Hackintoshing....I have bought a new iMac..... I and Apple thanks you - Macslap
  10. They will probably be gorgeous sets...but extremely pricey.
  11. Official "GarageMac" movement?

Noooooooooooooooooooo. Apple is not a company interested in having people building computers that can run the MacOS....especially if there is money being passed around because of it. I'm a hackintosher myself and I've always wondered how Apple has allowed our activities to go on this long without trying to axe it. They probably just figure...we're low in numbers and that a few hobbyists won't hurt anything. But guaranteed...if they were to find out that a large percentage of people were hackintoshing...the end could come. It's better just to keep this a neat hobby.
  12. iAtkos L1 is Out

Getting to the install screen where you can load disk utility is slower than two turds rolling up hill to feed a grasshopper. It's a great release...but you'll grow a beard waiting fro it to load. What do they do to these things to make them load so slow?
  13. [Guide] SnowLeo on HP G60-635DX

Trrrrryyyyyiiing thiiiiiiissssssssssssssssss......nnnnnnoooooowww! Slow motion. The start up install of this thing almost made me want to throw it out the window. I'd say about 10 minutes before it got to the place where I could load disk utility. Slower than two hillbillies building a {censored} house from a rowboat. What do they do to this stuff to make it so slllllllloooooow? I thought my DVD drive was going doing have a heart attack.
  14. I've been playing with Mac OS on a PC since the first version of Basilisk II (68k Emulator) came out. The holy grail was to get PPC support...that happened long after...but not very well. When it was rumored that Apple was moving to Intel processors....I started hearing of the chance that OSX would be able to run on ordinary PC's. Major thrillage occurred when this whole OSx86 community started forming. As a matter of fact...about 3 yrs ago I had a computer built for me for this very purpose. I started out with a distro of Tiger...then moved to a distro of Leopard....then got brave with a retail version of Leopard....then retail Snow leopard....and now retail Lion. I love this stuff!
  15. Lion seems oddly easy to install....

Actually that is the case. Without programs like Chameleon and brains that went into developing it and the people who know how to manipulate the source...this would not be possible. After I posted that I thot..."Yeah well...trying installing with Chameleon and some of the extra kexts..."
