Hi, Same problem here. Lion 10.7.4 and Mountain Lion DP 1 booting fine with all hardware support but Mountain Lion GM freeze after '[iOBluetoothHCIController] [start] -- Completed'. I already tried removing bluetooth kext but still its same, not booting except safe mode.

Had the same problem; it's graphics-related.

You could use osx86 tools to create a custom EFI string, then paste it into your chameleon preferences using the chameleon wizard. It worked for my geforce 550ti, although it's only a partials solution.

For me it was NVDAHal50.kext that was causing boot problem, adding my device id solved it, now it's working fine.

Solved: replace kexts in /System/Library/Extensions starting with NV with the ones from the file below.

Best practice is to delete them and use kext utility to drop these in.

still not working for me...

Hi bilalbg et al.

I've got Mountain Lion working now with a 9400gt card. Problem is I deleted and replaced the files so many times, i'm not really sure if they are the Lion or ML files now lol... in any case, if you haven't got it working yet i can explain, just haven't figured out yet how to attach the files :|

Worked it out :smoke:

So the files included are in fact the ML files, not the Lion files, with the exception of the NV Enabler. So it's the NVEnabler and the EFI string that's making it work.

9400 GT.zip

Whoo Hoo, in 10.8.2 final my DP3 files no longer work and I only can boot in safe mode - again :(

Dell Latitude E6420 - i7 2720QM - 8GB RAM - Nvidia Quadro NVS 4200M 512 MB . . . in 10.8.1 this was still working....

Any ideas???

Same now on my other partition, after upgrading to 10.7.5...

They have in common:

[AGPM Controller] unknownPlatform

Deleted /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext

The AGPM message is gone, still no UI

same here - i was running 10.8.1 on Lenovo T420 (Core i7, Quadro NVS 4200M 1024 MB) with the replaced NV kexts. Now after upgrading to 10.8.2 i can only go to single user mode and safe mode :(

So, same GPU than I have. Really strange. There is nothing special about that NVS series...
