Guys, i have a quick and silly question (maybe a problem from my compilers themselves).  I spent the last hours fixing my DSDT (originally 142 errors), and i could fix them all and created the aml file.  The problem is, every time i save the aml file then try to compile it again, i get back 132 errors back, whereas compiling the fixed dsl file goes ok.  Can anyone give me a hand please?

So I've got almost everything working now except my darn trackpad! Initially neither my keyboard or trackpad were working. I got them both working by installing the PS/2 trackpad/kb fix from the ##### installer (I believe it installed voodoops2). I later re-installed the operating system to fix some other issues. Now even after I run the ps2 installer, I can only get the keyboard to work. I must use an external usb mouse

I am running Mac OS 10.8

booting with -f -v and I am using the smbios 6,1.

My graphics, audio, lan, wifi are all working fine now. I successfully compiled a dsdt file but I don't think it is doing anything (i.e everything works the same whether I use it or not).

I am running an asus u35jc with a corei3

Hello.

Did you use tonymac tools to make your post-installation?

Excuse me but…. we don't give support to it: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275941-very-important-please-read-about-tonymacx86/

You can install manually all PS/2 kext.
*AppleACPIPS2Nub
*VoodooPS2Controller
*VoodooPS2Keyboard
*VoodooPS2Mouse
Install with Kext Wizard.

About SMBios… 6,1? MacBook Pro 6,1 you want means… You have a PC… so i think you need a iMac SMBios…

Post a complete hardware specification, will be more easy to help you.

I dont think it would be from the graphics because the system even on safe mode can detect my graphic card. I have an hp dv5-1040ep core 2 duo 9600m gt and 4gb ddr 2 ram, i have the mountain lion fully working, and now wanted to upgrade to mavericks, wich kexts should i use from ML if any?

Thank you

I really enjoyed this guide. Surely a vanilla install is better. Now I can access iCloud, update, and more. I've been for 2 weeks in real hackintoshing (since I installed iATKOS) and with this little experience I had no issues while doing the instructions.  Hackintoshing is very easy these says. To be true, I just made one mistake: including the final "/" in the name of the kexts when copying. This way it won't copy, unlike in Linux. I expected Chameleon to install in MBR, but GRUB was still there. I just chainloaded, as I previously had an OS X entry in GRUB menu. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Sorry I didn't post more details - I had posted it on the previous page but omitted it here.

I am actually on a laptop

I am running an Asus u35jc laptop which includes:

Intel® Core™ i3 370M 2.4 GHz

Intel® HM55 Express Chipset

The system info said most of my hardware was supported

I do believe I have tried installing those kexts but ill give it another go and check back.

Try configure your Bios: http://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1804

Try boot with -x -f -v

And please, post your hardware speficications...

Do you only have problem with ps/2?

update the cache of S/L/E folder

put those spects in your signature, will be more easy to see them

Hello.

Your problem is graphics…

If you only can boot to system with -x… so boot to system with -x and active your graphics by there.

What boot loader you want use? Chameleon?
Chameleon is more easy to configure…

Try active with GraphicsEnabler=Yes on org.chameleon… or with Chameleon Wizard app
If it doesn’t work, try GraphicsEnabler=No

Yeah i think i formulated my question in the wrong way.  What i mean is that once i fix the errors/warnings/remarks in the dsl file then compile the aml.  Some of the lines i fixed are simply reverted back to their initial state and give back the same errors.

Is it possible to install Mavericks on a 2 TB drive with one partition (a 2 TB partition)?

Update:  Answer is yes.  Got another problem though,  but at least I have 10.9.0 up and running.

To do:  AppleHDA (sound),  better graphics (using "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" right now).

I'll make a post when its all working.

I have followed the guide to the T and I'm having hang ups. I have to boot with cpus=1 in order to get it where it won't panic. It hangs after the Bluetooth thing when I boot -v. Screenshot attached.

EDIT: SOLVED- booted in safe mode (-x) and deleted every kext with Bluetooth in the name from S/L/E.

Is anyone with GA-P35-DS3L had Mavericks running, this is my 5th installation of Mavericks but it is stuck at here:

The complete RIG is on my firm

You may need to inject the properties of your 9800GTX into the device tree if GraphicsEnabler=Yes isn't working (see http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/228733-basic-guide-about-nvidia-kexts/ ). Interesting read here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/243516-getting-9800gtx-to-be-recognized-correctly/  & here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252525-enable-nvidia-drivers/ .

Timewalker uploaded his dsdt & kexts for Mavericks @ www.osx86.net (google "Timewalker GA-P35-DS3L" for link: for some reason, it is not coming up in my post)

Also Mosslack http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/289083-os-x-109-myhack-usb-installer-beta/page-2?do=findComment&comment=1923402 with a similar setup to you reported a successful install on Mavericks.  He has a guide for Mountain Lion install https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WbIOawSY4f-67-I1qfzsuobxlWZ0xcA1fGDsTRzCrwM/edit?pli=1 which might be useful for reference.  He also mentions using this guide http://rochetechnology.com/quick-hackintosh-tip-installing-10-9-mavericks-developer-preview/ for creating his Mavericks installer.

If you haven't tried already, see if -f switch helps.

I remember that I was injecting device properties back with leopard, but I erase the disk thinking this one is a piece of cake since is my 5th Mavericks install  :wallbash:

I tried all switches and combinations like -f -v -x -s

Thanks a lot, I'll try these on the weekend.

Well I take out the Nvidia kexts and it runs, obviously graphic performance is awful :(

So it is a 9800GTX incompatibility, what can I do to get it work :/

L3B3R in this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/185097-guide-scripted-retail-mavericksmountain-lion-install-on-gigabyte-mobos/page-211?do=findComment&comment=1957335 mentioned that he needed to inject his 9800GTX+ efi string into his org.chameleon.Boot.plist (can use OSX86Tools to get this.  See link to guide in my previous post) for his install USB to work.

Another way to inject would be via dsdt.  You might be able to use the one by Gringo for Elcapitan here  http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/243516-getting-9800gtx-to-be-recognized-correctly/?do=findComment&comment=1623162 if your card's device ID is 0x0612.

I've read on the ProjectOSX forum http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=370&st=780 that people were having problems with NVEnabler after updating past 10.8.2.
