  1. Help with HP ENVY 17

I'll check all those out tomorrow some time. I have been crazy busy the last couple days trying to get us a new house and all. I'll check on this this stuff a little later this evening and hopefully tomorrow I can utilize it and get everything working.
  2. Help with HP ENVY 17

Yea, I looked that over and done what I couple without dsdt edits and ssdt's. I'm not sure what to do with those. They are 'clean' and require edits. As I've stated before, I don't really know how to do all that. I got my graphics to read as HD 4600 with 64 shared memory, but that's not right and it's still choppy. VoodooHDA causes me to KP even with AppleHDA gone. I'm going to try to work on it some more tomorrow I guess.
  3. Help with HP ENVY 17

I finally got it to boot the I ran into boot0 error, fixed it quickly. Changed out my wifi card with an atheros one from a spare machine. Now my problems are sound, graphics (QE/CI), and soon iMessages. I'm wanting to get this stuff fixed pretty soon though. It's gunna be pretty great. ^.^ Edit: FYI, I am absolutely NO GOOD at DSDT edits. I never really got too far into it and I never really understood it too much.
  4. Help with HP ENVY 17

I tried those FakeSMC was installed in the Extra/Extensions folder. I tried to move the video kexts to a backup folder and got the same results. It was SO much easier to install it on my HP g7. I've been working on this laptop for the past 3-4 days trying different methods. I have the mach_kernal patched like it's supposed to be. Everywhere else I read says that when the last line is bluetooth it has to do with graphics. Maybe I need to move my intel graphics? Or ALL?
  5. Help with HP ENVY 17

I have everything installed but I am stuck on the verbose screen after the Bluetooth thing. I attached a pic. The Args I've used range from just simple -f -v -x to throwing in PCIRootUID=1 cpus=1 and GraphicsEnabler=Yes/No. What is the trick to this? lol
  6. NVIDIA GT 750M

I just bought my HP ENVY 17 with the NVIDIA 750M and everywhere I looked said to edit the SSDT to disable it because it is 'useless' in OSX. I'm kind of hoping that isn't the issue. Guess we can wait and see.
  7. Camera Stopped Working

Ok, so it's been a little while since I have been around and posted. I finally have my ML install at almost 100%. My webcam stopped working a little after installation and setup. It worked during setup to take my user id pic, but now it will no longer works. I REALLY don't want to do a fresh install to get it working. Besides the camera and the SD card reader not working it's complete. iMessages, AppStore, iCloud, everything works. Just need my camera now. I tried getting my vendor id and device id but I'm not exactly sure which one it is in the lspci dump. Any insight?
  8. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

    Thanks. Will do.
  9. I know this is old, but I want to thank you for your find. This worked on my HP Pavilion g7-2247us Core i3-3310M HD4000 Graphics. LIFESAVER you are.
  10. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

SOLVED!!!! After endless trial and error, I finally got it. Below is the string and IG I used. Everything works now, no more choppy graphics, youtube works, and WoW works. <string>7f0000000100000001000000730000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff04002c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000004006601140000006800640061002d0067006600780000000d0000006f6e626f6172642d31</string> ig-platform-id: 01660008, Stolen RAM for FB: 64MB, Pipes: 3, Ports: 3, FBMem: 3
  11. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

Ok, so I was finally able to get back into my laptop. I had to replace the modified AppleIntelFramebufferCapri kext with the unmodified one and reapply the plist i had uploaded here due to the modifications i made to the one I had before. I'm going to post the pdf of what I followed to enable my graphics before. I actually had everything working from what I could make out. System infor picked up my graphics card as Intel HD Graphics 4000 and I had translucent menu bar, but my screen was stretched WAY to the right and I couldn't hardly see anything. If anyone can help me out with this I would really appreciated it. I'm dying to get my graphics working so I can actually play games. I have a 17in monitor with 1600x900 resolution if that helps anyone. CPU: HERE HD4000 VGA notes.pdf
  12. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

That pics actually showed up correctly. Lol. It was stretched WAY out and was fuzzy on my laptop screen. It was showing I had a 15in when I have and 17in. Idk if that was causing that or not. For some reason I thought the screenshot would show the messed up ness. Right now I can't even get into the computer. I modified my kexts file from a walkthroughs I found and that's when it went stupid. Apparently theirs was a 15in screen so it worked. Now if oy I could modify it for mine.

    HELP!! lol
  14. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

    No one? Really?
  15. Help with choppy Graphics (HD4000)

My graphics are 8086:0166 rev9. So I have been using IG 9. Does that not have to match my graphics? Also, I can't set my graphics in my BIOS. I have been looking for an unlock solution but I really don't want to take a chance at bricking my laptop. lol. Thanks for the info though. I may try 3 or 4 and see if that helps. EDIT: Tried 3 and 4 and graphics are still choppy and flashy. Check my attachment for the chameleon boot plist. Note that the device id at the bottom is actually what made my HP laptop say Intel HD Graphics 768MB and also read in my system info. EDIT2: I'm still trying to figure this thing out. I have added my DSDT as well. When I try to compile I have only 1 warning and a few of the others but it will not fix. Any help on this? org.chameleon.Boot.plist.zip DSDT.aml.zip
