Da gibt's nicht viel zu berichten, die Karte ist zwar mit den Mountain Lion Kexts eintragbar, aber solange die Aufloesungen nicht in BIOS festgelegt sind, wird es ueber 1024x768 nicht hinausgehen. Ich verfolge das ganze jetzt seit gut einem Jahr, aber eine Loesung zum Thema Bildschirmaufloesung gibt es soweit ich weiss bisher nicht. Es sei denn du hast Lust zu basteln und per Remote Desktop und so den Kram zu probieren.

I have native resolution on Lion using "Graphics Mode"="1600x900x32". manor's kexts remove the lag in Launchpad. No QE/CI of course, but it's usable. It depends if you have your resolution in your VESA modes. You can check this with Chameleon at the boot screen. I also have my EDID injected.

Gut zum Thema, du sagt es geht nicht aber ich sehe hier doch das es bei anderen auch geht mit der Intel Hd Grafik!

Oder verstehe bzw sehe ich da was falsch? Ich habe auch schon etliche kext ausprobiert von manor auch schon meine id's eingetragen!
Aber irgendwie geht es nicht! Ich denke ich mache da was falsch!
Bist du sicher das es nicht geht....?
Zum Beispiel der Post nun übermir! Der hat doch auch eMine intelhd Grafik und fährt eine 1600 Auflösung!

Bitte um Verständnis, bin noch Leihe auf dem Gebiet aber lerne gerne dazu!

@Kasi At the Chameleon boot screen, type ?video - this will give you info about all VESA resolutions your graphics card supports. If your native resolution is listed. Type:
"Graphics Mode"="1600x900x32"
Where 1600x900x32 is replaced with your native resolution.

Hallo Kasi,

ich bin auch nur Laie was das ganzen BIOS Kram angeht, aber soweit ich das verstehe, ist die Aufloesung im BIOS eingetragen und zwar vom Hersteller. Hard-Coded, sozusagen. Da kommt man als Otto Normal nicht ran. Aber diejenigen bei denen das so im BIOS steht kriegen dann ueber Chameleon die korrekte Aufloesung, deshalb funktioniert's. In meinem Lenovo funktioniert das zum Beispiel nicht, weil eben diese BIOS Eintragung fehlt. Dadurch kriege ich leider auch nur die bloede 1024x768 Aufloesung, was auf Dauer einfach nervt. Der Kext selber funktioniert und traegt die Karte ordnungsgemaess ein, soweit habe ich das alles durchaus hingekriegt. Bin im Moment leider nicht in der Lage zu probieren weil ein Umzug quer ueber den Atlantik ansteht, aber ab Mitte/Ende September werde ich wohl noch mal probieren.

Hoffe, das hilft erst mal weiter zum Verstehen, wenn nicht, einfach nochmal fragen. Wie gesagt, der grosse Experte bin ich auch nicht, aber gottseidank sind andere da besser und schreiben ordentliche Anleitungen!

Did you encounter flickering in webpage using adobe flash? It makes me very uncomfortable.

I am able to use 1600x900x32 mode.
No video support.

Yeah CK Lee, videos don't work. @Kasi99: Try this: Download the Chameleon PKG installer from here: http://www.insanelym...owtopic=231075. Then click Customize while installing. Choose Modules>resolution. Install, then reboot.

I've set any SMBIOS, installed a lot of different kexts, tried any chameleon configuration but can't get it to work over 1024x768 even if now it recognizes 0x0046 as Intel HD and the nVidia GeForce GT 540M is recognized with correct 2GB vRAM.

My specs are

Acer Aspire 5742G
Intel i5-480M with sandy bridged Intel HD(I suppose 5700)
nVidia GeForce GT 540M
4GB DDR3 RAM

Can't download from the previously posted chameleon link 'cause I still don't have enough posts to download forum attachments, but I already installed the latest version of it(not the one "+ nVidia"), by the way...

I have a question about an Intel GMA HD graphics chip which is an Intel i5-650 processor in it. So the i5 is a preview version.

Hi!  I'm (sort of) making progress with this graphics card.  In order to acheive the custom resolution, the VESA resolution needs to be supported in the VBIOS, right?  Well, I've discovered a program called RamBios (DOS-based) that enables you to unpack a VBIOS ROM Image into memory.  Notice I didn't say RAM Image or Dump.  These are one and the same: an already-unpacked Video BIOS in memory is copied to disk in one file.  This isn't going to help us with this program; it needs a ROM image, which is a bit-by-bit carbon copy of the Video BIOS ROM.

Here is what I've done so far:

• Boot MS-DOS 7.10.
  
  
• Use RamBIOS to unpack the latest Video BIOS downloaded from Intel.
  
  
• Start Grub4DOS from within DOS (by executing GRUB.EXE)
  
  
• From the Grub prompt, map and boot a Chameleon-based ISO (specifically, Nawcom's OSx86 ModCD)
  
  
• Check to see what VESA resolutions are supported.

Here is the problem.  After all that work, I discovered the highest resolution supported is still that infamous 1024x768.  So, manor, as you have the resolution I need (1366x768) supported in VESA resolutions of the VBIOS, would you be willing to send the VBIOS ROM image to me?

I can't tell you how to specifically do it yet, as it varies from system to system.  You see, the Video BIOS is integrated with the system BIOS.  You can extract the VBIOS from your System BIOS ROM image (would be found in any BIOS update, likely winzipped in an EXE), but to tell you how to do that, I first need to see a screenshot of the BIOS setup utility's system information menu.  When you turn on your computer, it should say something like "Press F2 to enter setup", and then press that key repeatedly until you reach the setup utility.  Usually, the system information menu is loaded immediately upon entering setup.

If you could upload that screenshot here, I would be able to guide you into how to extract the VBIOS ROM image from your system BIOS.  Could you help me with this?  Thanks in advanced!!

3.Add extra follder to Modules in Resolution.dylib

4.GraphicsEnabler=yes
AND also add my string to device-properties its enable pci cards info and video memory high.
