Type AtiConfig=fb_you_need
right before you start in chameleon (similar like typing -v or -s keys)

And all this time you tried to do qe\ci in switchable mode? LoLI give up, I graphics sux. I`ll wait till ML. I tried few FBs and It`s annoying me to reboot and reboot.. If anyone has idea tell me. The last thing - I have option in my BIOS to switch graphics switchable or discrete.

I couldn't get it work long time, but did somehow. If you see black screen all the time, that means that you are on the right way, just need to find right FB. If you booting in low resolution - means that not all ATI kexts are loaded, and you need to fix permissions and rebuild cache.I had it on discrete all time, just saying theres an option..

Actually I solved this problem by replacing whole ATI*** kexts pack to lower version (like from Lion DP1 or whatever it was), also from 10.6.8 qe/ci works. But when I trying to load with 10.7.2 or 10.7.3 kexts I having same problem when only rez and no acceleration. So I suggest you to try 10.6.8 kexts.I¨m booting with correct resolution but graphics is slow. When I type I sometimes got freeze (1sec) and graphics is slow, lauchpad loads too long and It¨s actually same like before, except bug on startup and in lauchpad. I don't know what to do, I read few tutorials how to make it work but I don't know if It will work.. Maybe I`ll find kexts which would work perfect.

After all, I made clean install of iAtkos L2 (i used this all the time). Selected all necessary files, and in graphics first ATI Inyt. After install AtiConfig=Orangutan and guess what! Fully working. Lauchpad, Mission Control, - everything is soooo smooth and nice! Now I did update to 10.7.3 and works.

Earlier I selected the second ATI Inyt cuz the first one did just black screen with backlight. Thx to you Neolo, I tried AtiConfig!
___________________________
I would not figure it without external monitor - I plugged it and it worked on 800x600 but worked (with lauchapd etc.) So I tried FB.
So that was pleasure to work with you Neolo.

Wait-wait. Before you will disappear like guy before in my conversation, tell me, do you have 16-bit colors on internal screen??? Make a test: http://www.lagom.nl/...st/gradient.php How do you see first gradient picture? I need to know if there in IAtkos something that can help me with this problem. I'm using Retail image and don't want to with to any custom builds. And attach your Aty_init please, I want to try it out if colors are fine there.

I see it now. Well we will figure it out.') Do you think that fb can fix that?
I read somewhere to disable graphics enabler - I tried it but without graphicsenabler=yes I have 5MB VRAM again. So I have to use ge=yes.

FB will not fix it, I already tried all possible variant of them. This is something else.

so this is what i actually did (after booting from the usb on a fresh install) runned M.u.l.t.i.b.e.a.s.t 4.2.1 and installed:
OSx86 Software> kext utility and ShowAllFiles.
Customization>Boot Options> 32-Bit Apple Boot Screen
Drivers & Bootloaders>Bootloaders>Chimera 1.7.0 r1394
this is what i selected, what else did i do? i already had an usb pen drive with the EDID File Named DisplayProductID-717
and placed it on this path /System/Library/Displays/Overrides/DisplayVendorID-756e6b6e (if you already have this path nice replace the file in there) if not create the path, and place it there.
i then proceeded to add all the kexts i had on the usb (on the /Extra/Extensions folder) and added it to the /Extra/Extensions folder (on my lion hdd obviously)
Finally i did the following, using Chameleon Wizard i edited the org.chameleon.boot.plist (that should already be on the /Extra folder on your Lion Hdd if you have been following this to the tee) and select the following:
GUI
Time out
Legacy Logo
Kernel (mach_kernel)
npci=0x2000
darkwake=0
(32bit is up to you, i know qe/ci works on 32bits so it should work as well, i myself prefer 64bits so i didn't select this)
ForceHPET
Ethernet Built In
Now comes the tricky part and was responsible (most likely) from some tribulations on my side, and i would never spotted it if i wasn't really paying attention there is an Option called PCIRoot=1 well that option is responsible for allowing you to bypass the (PCI Configuration Begin) by searching for a pci Device in the correct Slot, well most people use it by default (on their org.chameleon) without paying attention, and really not knowing if its really on slot 1 or slot 0 and i had it on 1 by default what did this do, even by having the correct configuration on my org.chameleon.boot.plist and all the files sorted (the display file etc) i never got it to work because of that PCIRoot=1 after i change it to 0 QE/CI started working. so back into the list.
PCIRoot=1 just press on the little magnet to get the correct slot, if its 0 don't select it, if its 1 select it.
i also selected an SMBIOS.plist (i edited the one on /Extra folder)
Restart Fix
Generate P-States
Generate C-States
Drop SSDT
USBBusFix (if you have usb problems)
Graphics Enabler
Ati Config (i have hoolock by default, now its up to you all to text which one works better for you)
Graphics Mode 1366x768x32
Press save, Go to Disk Utility and Fix permissions, after doing so reboot, now try to boot on chameleon with GraphicsEnabler=No just this once and see if OSX Boots into the desktop, if it does, Reboot, and boot it normally with no Arguments what so ever, you should have QE/CI now.
Before i did this on my main partition i did it on a seperated hdd, use one lying around.
I don't have anything edited no edited kexts nothing, if you guys need any help just post, and once again neolo sorry for my absence.
Just checked the 16 bit color test you linked there, i don't know if i am having problems but it doesn't seem so. also i played a game and the chess game and didn't see anything usual, haven't watched a movie yet though.
