hello and congratulations for the nice work on this hackint0sh model ...
As I own one myself i managed to install it ...
i have but one problem (or so i think ) ) after i enter sleep mode ... when i restart the laptop, the trackpad is useless.

Come ho proprio me stesso sono riuscito a installarlo ...
Ho un solo problema (o almeno così credo)) dopo che ho entra in modalità sleep ... quando riavvio il computer portatile, il trackpad è inutile.

Hi,
try with PS2 kexts (and the others) you can find into zip pack attached on first post.
Place them all into S/L/E folder.
Use v2 pack and let us know.

unfortunately the kexts did not help ...
still frozen trackpad ...

question ...
as i am a little n00b-ish when it comes to dsdt.aml playing ... where am i supposed to place the file for proper functioning? without dsdt my nvidia card and sound do not function properly!

You have to place it into YourMacintoshHD/Extra/, otherwise write into com.Apple.boot.plist where it is.

it seems i already did the right procedure

now as a small parenthesis when i connect my iPhone to a USB 3.0 port, iTunes doesn't recognize the device and ,randomly, if i pull the device out, it panics related to the pxhcd kext!

2 Questions.

1. I have the bluray player on my model, does it work in OSX?

2. The retail version that I have found to buy is 10.6.3 does that matter?  I have a gift card to Fry's and that's the version their website lists anyway.

Thank you for this excellent guide!
but something is wrong
after the installation is complete and I install the 10.6.7 update and the mulybeast files.
and then the kexthelper.
all of this is without any problems.
but when I run Kext Utility it runs but in the end it writes "Sorry, couldn't create Extensions.mkext"
and then when I reboot its not working...

do you know what could be the problem?

I have the same specs as you laptop, and I used the  nawcom Mod CD 0.3.1 because the BootCD by vladlenas don't work..

consiglio veloce per chi installa con iBoot e non la versione consigliata (che non ho trovato in fondo al topic )...
come scritto nella guida si consiglia di seguire il "vecchio punto 5", ma non c'è scritto che nel punto 9, in caso di problemi anche con il solo "-x", bisogna riscrivere -v busratio=12 PCIRootUID=1, a me non partiva, ho riscritto quello ed è andata, magari a qualcuno in difficoltà può far comodo, un saluto e un grazie per la guida davvero ben fatta!

In questi giorni riparto da zero con la procedura per scremare gli ultimi aggiustamenti e poi magari la posto per passi.

EDIT: Dopo una settimana tutto OK mi è saltato in mente di provare lo sleep. Non è mai entrato in sleep ma il computer è rimasto acceso/monitorspento per un paio d'ore mentre dormivo, al che l'ho spento forzatamente.
Riavviato, partiva chimera, ho scelto di avviare Windows7. Parte Windows7, schermata blu e riavvio automatico. Ecco ora non mi parte più il bootloader dal disco, ma nemmeno da chiavetta USB. L'unica cosa che sembra partirmi è il DVD di installazione di 7.



EDIT2: Da che ne so l'errore nell'andare in sleep potrebbe essere derivato dal fatto che il mio hard disk esterno fosse collegato, nonostante questo non capisco come abbia fatto a danneggiarsi la partizione HFS+ da cui partiva il sistema. Switchato l'hard disk con quello di riserva con cui ho fatto le prove di installazione e ora sto reinstallando su quello in dotazione. Morale della favola pensavo di aver fatto un danno più grosso di quello che in effetti è, in ogni caso prima di buttare giu la guida voglio fare altre prove.
