This could also help everyone so they get a rough idea of how well their system will handle OS X86 (If at all). You can download Xbench 1.2 here. This is a universal binary so it'll work on both real macs and macintels. Make sure you save the results as a text file (Plain Text) and attach them to your post. I'll start! jimbospoon Posted August 29, 2005 Share Posted August 29, 2005 it will be interesting to see some high end desktops considerind my laptop decimated the first 2 results. specs are as follows: dell inspiron 5150 mobile p4 2.8 HT 768 MB RAM 60 GB HD (6 gigs dedicated to OSX) nvidia geforce fx goforce 5200 (64 MB memory - not that this matters without drivers....) final score: 27.53 what about somebody with a real powerbook (say a 1.5 g4)? i would be very interested to see those results. The computer goes from "Loading Darwin x86" to Mac desktop in about 30 seconds.
