Right, I'm interested on seeing other peoples Macintel boxes specs and Xbench scores.

This could also help everyone so they get a rough idea of how well their system will handle OS X86 (If at all).

You can download Xbench 1.2 here. This is a universal binary so it'll work on both real macs and macintels.

Make sure you save the results as a text file (Plain Text) and attach them to your post.

I'll start!

Spec:

Intel P4 1.8ghz SSE2

Intel 845 chipset

768mb SDR ram

Nvidia Vanta 16mb AGP VESA 3.0

20gb Ibm ATA100 hdd

it will be interesting to see some high end desktops considerind my laptop decimated the first 2 results. specs are as follows:

dell inspiron 5150

mobile p4 2.8 HT

768 MB RAM

60 GB HD (6 gigs dedicated to OSX)

nvidia geforce fx goforce 5200 (64 MB memory - not that this matters without drivers....)

final score: 27.53

what about somebody with a real powerbook (say a 1.5 g4)? i would be very interested to see those results.

Pentium 4 @ 3.0GHz (Prescott)

1GB PC3200 DDR RAM

Asus P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard

AC'97 audio on board

1 firewire, 4 usb 2.0

GeForce FX 5600 Ultra

Gyration Wireless Mini keyboard and gyro mouse, via USB

This copy of OSX86 is booting from an external USB 2.0 hard drive (I love this motherboard). The computer goes from "Loading Darwin x86" to Mac desktop in about 30 seconds.

Also, I applied the SSE3>SSE2 patch, because the PowerPC apps weren't loading for some reason.

Good job Guys for all the work and info......
