It seems as though the latest release of Parallels has hit the release candidate stage, meaning that it will be out soon. The new build will be 5580 and has some new enhancements such as increased performance in the DirectX and OpenGL departments. This build also has increased support for Leopard. Hopefully the Leopard update will go over a bit better than it did for VMWare, which has had issues ever since the 1.1 update has been released.

Wow, Maybe it was a good idea not to upgrade my vmware install to 1.1.

How good is Parallels for gaming? I wouldn't mind dropping Windows completely, but certain games (like Half-Life 2) and console emulators (SegaCD and 32X) have no Mac version; and I'd rather have it virtualized instead of dual-booting, but I've no idea if it's viable.

I use Codeweaver's Crossover Mac for Half-Life 2. I don't have any problems with it and it plays fine. Might want to give that a try for your emulation too. No need for Parallels or dual booting for me.

HL2, no glitches at all? Thanks for the tip, I'll try that when I turn my PC into a hackintosh!
