Thinksecret has posted it's long awaited Mac OS X Leopard Build 559 gallery on it's website. It includes pictures of the new Voiceover Utility, new 512 X 512 icons for Dictionary, Front Row, Directory, and Spaces. Also included in the photos are the new Mail interface, new Airport Menu, and a view inside the Directory application. Also, looked over in this build, preview has finally made the jump from version 3.5 to 4, with a build number of 467. Leopard remains largely unchanged from 527, but is showing signs of it being finalized. Speculation has been going around that this is a Release Canidate(RC), with only two major bugs listed. The bugs are a problem with Archive and Installing on a PowerPC system and a problem installing HP printer drivers on the computer. Developers can simply avoid the latter by installing the drivers through the Optional Installs on the Install DVD.

nice, some newz ;)

Just installed 599 and I'm very pleased with it leaving all my old tiger settings alone and with it speeding up my lagging system a little bit.

Wow they did a good job changing the UI. They're phazing out that old Aqua pinstripe and brushed look with rounded CTRL+Click windows and sleeker windows. With 2 bugs Apple has done a great job. It took M$ 5 years to make Vista and there's still bugs.

Wonder why they changed their Welcome video? Clicky

You used Colonel's version :P. Yeah, people seem to agree that they should leave the music they used for the iMac commercial. :P Video: fantastic, Music: horrible, Video with Tiger music: great! :D

Any idea about the reason for reducing the radius on the rounded top corners?

I enjoy not having everything so stiff and rigid...

Leopard Server is certainly no slouch either. Can't wait until we can start yacking about this in the wide open with no NDA constraints...
