Ok the developer of the CPUs and m/b's in Apples computers running a developers demo on OS X. Then so what? Are the Apple testbeds hackintoshes before they are formally released?

yeah i saw it , it's really suspicious, but remember that this technology is not internal, so if you set the finder preferences to only show external drives, you will have the same result

hum maybe, but i don't think so, not before that apple will have at least 20-30% of market share, with the extraordinary growth of apple since 2006, maybe in 2 or 3 years they will reach this goal, it's will be hard but possible especially if windows seven is not a commercial succes, but be in frontal concurrency with microsoft is to dangerous for now

Yes. The first hackintoshes used a retail Intel motherboard that was almost identical to the first Intel Apple desktops. Once OSX was hacked far enough installation became possible on a wider variety of systems. I expect all Apple desktops start out on Intel retail or developer hardware and then Apple makes a few changes to the design and sends it off to their manufacturers. Apple doesn't have the resources to build a complete hardware system from the ground up.

its not a Mac Mini.. everybody hates those . and its not a Mac Pro because they come with a Monitor dont they? and i dont see a small apple on tht one ;P

What we see here is a lab setup of a future Apple product, which I presume will be introduced by Apple with a near future Mac Pro upgrade.

What would be GREAT is if Apple went back to the POWER PC format and left everyone in the dust again he he. IBM's offerings for processors make Intels look like a toy! I wished Apple would go back... and let you hackers play with your PC's.

The PowerPC CPU was made by motorolla (i think) and Intel is made by intel so they are capable for difernt things i don't see why they can't use both like PC's use AMD and Intel

I think it's a given that at some point apple will have to hand over hardware development anyway. and this will only be good for their software and users - let hard ware manufacturers compete to drive progress and software manufacturers do the same. The video gaming companies prove time and time again fighting to maintain different hardware as well as platforms is always going to generate a looser - sega gave up on hardware, nintendo was kiked hard by sony through the n64 era and sony took an absolute pasting getting the ps3 up and running. Ah imagine a world where you just pop down pc world and choose the pc you really like then dicide which you want - windows, mac, linux distro....
