Yes, you heard it right; brand spanking new screenshots from the upcoming iPhone 2.0 Firmware (labeled version 1.2). The extensive gallery is courtesy of BoyGeniusReport with a few screenshots of the not-yet-functional iTunes Application Store, the Lunar Lander game (a sample game provided by Apple for developers to demonstrate various iPhone specific features, such as the accelerometers) shown below, along with some general screenshots of the new calculator, Exchange server setup, and parental controls.

Currently Apple maintains they will be officially launching the iPhone 2.0 with the iTunes Applications Store in late June. Keep your eyes peeled.

I also want an iPhone, but data plans up here in the cold Canada are just wayyyy to expensive. My 1 megabyte per month data plan on my Blackberry 8700 is $80 a month with 200 minutes. I think the reason it is taking so long for us to get the iPhone is because Rogers does not want to offer better data plans, not because of Apple. This may be a conflict of interest as I work for a Rogers company (Rogers Kitchener Radio Group), ah well I am entitled to my thoughts.

200min + 1Mb/month = $80?!

I pay less than US$70/month on a 100min + unlimited data plan in my country (although wasn't able yet to use more than 30Mb/month...)

Still eager to get my phone updated to 1.2 (or should we say, 2.0?). Would love to replace my Blackberry to access corporate network

if you want some screenshots of appstore check my .mac gallery, and these are the pics that were submitted to tuaw.com, modmyifone.com, and gizmodo.com
