wyzazz
Laptop must be plugged in, it should only hang there for a minute or so. You must also be using Leo4Allv2. ..TheOne..
@Wyzazz: Since you managed to get kernel 9.4 I wonder... Is there any advantage or difference for the end user on making this upgrade? I really won't risk my OSX system right now if there is no benefits on trying this... Regards. DuperMan
I quit. No remorse, no regrets... Fighting spirit aside, the HP laptops are too tightly knit to Redmond, and there's nothing wrong with it - they rock with Vista 64! As it is, Leo on this tablet cripples it as a tablet while not supplying a true Apple experience. No, trying harder won't make it better, not unless we get a driver programmer. Not trying to bum anybody out, just keepin' it real. P.S Better add extra warning about the overheating to the wiki. it's pretty much a matter of time before the extra wear will be noticed and cried for by someone. @jt5624 You are probably using leo4all version 1. look up leo4allv2. Wingdom
Touch screen progress on the tx2000z! I almost literally stumbled onto a site, Hampshire Touch, and saw they made touch screen drivers for OSX. I was like....hmm....worth a shot....and well, I dont have a perfectly calibrated screen, but one that WANTS to be calibrated. By that I mean, when its calibrated, the 4 corner touch points are where they would be on a 1024x768 screen, and in the center of my screen, it works, but the further out from the center you go, the worse it gets. I think the computer thinks it is still using 1024x768 for a display resolution, even though it is showing 1280x800. Here is something interesting though.....I put a window in the middle of the screen, and using the pen, dragged it to the edge of the screen, and the window and cursor stayed under the pen the whole time. Strange no? I think some of this is the fault of not having proper display drivers...but if we can force it to show native rez, maybe I can force it to calibrate at native rez too. oh yeah, the drivers are the intel&ppc 2.1.0 touch drivers. iceman012
okay so i have a TX 1000, and i am loving everything about Leopard! i have everything working except my mic...but that is not my main concern at the moment....i was wondering is anyone else was having the problem where the fan and harddrive continue to run even after putting the computer to sleep? i downloaded the_29's TX 1000 package and installed the powermanagement fix, but it has not worked out for me! ~Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/29/#findComment-827332 Share on other sites
neoobs
OK got everything up and running with 10.5.2 and I love it this is a big improvement since when I bought the computer and people were having tons of issues installing linux... even the experts using the HPunix software. Question. Everything works except the touchscreen. It is sideways... like it works but when I go up and down it goes left and right. Anyone know the issue? Also is it possible to turn off bluetooth? I am hoping that I can also help out decompiling the DVD. I once saw instructions on how to do it but that was back when I had no hope. ohhh another thought I had... Can't you get a BIOS from phoenix that lets you change things like the ACPI power settings? I am almost positive the issue is that the power setting needs to be S1 for that pause when booting issue. The reason why I say that is my desktop had the same issue and when I changed the power from S3 to S1 it all fixed... or was it the other way around either way that was the issue on the desktop and I had to do the same thing with the power button. the_29
After i killed my installation (copied the kernel by hand ) i had to reinstall the mac os this weekend! Everything works fine (again 10.5.4 update and mobile me). @iceman: Did you copied it to the folder? Maybe you have to copy it in console (cp -R PowerM.. /path ) and then change the rights (do as su this 2 commands: chown -R root:wheel PowerMana and chmod -R 750 PowerMa..). I think that it is mode 750! Maybe it is sth else. Just install a kext and look at advanced! You will see the commands. @ALL: What is about java6 for our machines? (Because on our machines the process is described as pentium 4 32bit processor) Edit again: I found sth interest: http://landonf.bikemonkey.org/static/soylatte/ i hope this works, i will try it tonight Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/29/#findComment-827487 Share on other sites

Sorry i am not sure if understand your problem, but from what you have written use kext-helper to install the kexts. By downloading them you are just halfway done. I know my answer is stupid, but it is the only thing i can think of that you are doing wrong... for my tx1000 i used the azalia audio kext, i got it from the Leo4allv3 install. the_29
@gforums: after you installed (not just downloading, you have to install them in my package there is a HowTO included) the display drivers you have to change your resolution in the system preferences - display @iceman: Press COMMAND/APPLE + Space to open spotlight! Type in there "terminal" (always without the quotes) then type "sudo su" and then your password (if you didnt have any admin password, you have to choose one) change the directory to the path where you extracted the tx1000packv2 (for example "cd /Users/NAME/Downloads/tx1000Packv2" - where NAME is your username) then "rm -R /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle" for removing the old one "cp -R PowerManagement.bundle /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/" "chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle" "chmod -R 750 /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle" After that you can change more things in the system preferences -> energy options (dunno the real english name). Maybe you have to reboot to see any effects! gforums
thanks for your both answers, I surely used the kext-helper as it is written in the howTo. But in the systemsettings, there is only the one 1024x768px resolution to select. I will read the howTo-file again, but I didn't see any steps I missed. I will try and write again... thanks!
