ginosih
@ginosih Ahhhh, my young Padawan... ...to gain knowledge of The Force you must read the previous posts. In all seriousness, somewhere toward the first 15 pages there are a set of steps to follow to make the on screen keyboard appear, it has something to do with the language options in the control panel. If you look you may find it, there are screenshots of where everything is located in those posts. If you can't find it, I'll outline the steps for you tomorrow morning when I get back to the office where my lappy is. Happy Hunting!!! @Blue Copter Thanks Man!!! i found it,tnx Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/87077-hp-tx1000z-tablet-compatibility-with-leopard/page/28/#findComment-815350 Share on other sites

wyzazz
@ginosih Yet again, you must read my young Padawan. There is discussion about this some pages back. Currently you are booting with the -v switch, you have to edit the com.apple.boot.plist file. Remove the -v, and I suggest removing the -legacy as well. Also, glad you found the On Screen Keyboard! @DAMNiaTX You can't POST or you can't boot in to OSX?? If you can't POST, you will need to send your Lappy back to HP unfortunately. wyzazz
BTW, my general feeling on fingerprint readers is that they suck!!! Maybe I just have goofy fingers, or less than no coordination when it comes to those things but, I can punch in my password way faster than the 3+ times it takes me to get a proper fingerprint read on my laptop. My short answer to the earlier question posed by ginosih is, I don't know of a program that would work on the OSX side of things. But if I found one, I wouldn't use it anyway. Sorry for the venting all, but I really despise technology that doesn't work the way it's supposed to. gforums
Hello! I am new here - so Hello to all there! Well I want to install the mac sys on my tx2000, but I yet wasn't able to downgrade the bios. like others, i also get the error "the current bios is the sane or newer". I use "SWinFlash" under Vista. Could you help me? Thank you! Wingdom
Hello again everyone. Its been a while since I have tried anything with OSX, but I have been following this thread pretty closely. With the creation of the new instructions for a fresh install, I decided to give it a go, and it worked great on my tx2000z. (thanks wyzazz!) I have a pretty good working install of OSX 10.5.2 with the usual problems. No sign of the weird boot problems I was getting before though, so that's good news. I would like to suggest adding this file (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act=attach&type=post&id=26066) to the instructions for fixing problems with Windows file shares. It was posted by Alex DeWolf earlier in this thread, and is necessary for me to be able to access file shares on some if my Windows machines. The same for anyone else? aloha. i've tried to mod my previously ALC888 kext to ALC862 (forgot the code) anyway.. the result is i'm able to use the sound control! i deleted the AppleHDA.kext, and used kextHelper to install this. F.04 TX2032au AppleAzaliaAudio.kext.zip I can also confirm that this works to get full control over your audio. The mute button still stays orange though, kinda annoying, but no big deal. I am also currently downloading the files to update to 10.5.4, but the 10.5.3 update is still 5 hours off. Any better hosting for it than to use a torrent? It only appears to have 5 or so seeders, and might die out eventually. suggestions? Not gunna bother asking about qe/ci support, because I figured there would be a huge party thrown when a solution is discovered.... the_29
But with this audio file, is the mic working?! I have a fully working audio file (i think the mute button is not orange) where you can control sound, but no mic is working! And because i use skype, i need a mic.. Edit: oho, why did the admin close the QE/CI thread?! And why does HP include the 6150 in the currently models too?! gforums
SOLVED: ----------- http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers...p;uid=202131455 If you use "WinPflash" for bios upgrading, you can alo downgrade!!! This should work for all of you, which have problem with downgradin! ----------------------------------- Sorry to push my question again: Is there still no solution for a bios downgrade? the tx2000 comes with vista and there are some people here, that suceeded in downgrading, or am I wrong? I have running the F07 bios and downgrade doesn't work with the official hp files. So were u using other tools or had no one of you f07 bios or newer installed on his machine? are the command line options to force a downgrade? thank you! gforums
hi there, i have some questions left, which aren't yet aboslutely clear to me. I have installed osX with leo4all v3 (because I don't have v2 (yet)). The first time, everything went ok and after a restart, I had a running osX with WLAN (no sound, no 1280 resolution..., but working). After that, I installed the mpkg file and directly after that deleted the KEXT-file which has to be deleted. After a restart, my OSX didn't start anylonger. I got many many Disk I/O errors and the blue background screen with mouse-pointer came up for some seconds everytime between terminal with many errors. I then tried to reinstall MacOS, but with no sucees the second time. Somewhere at the bootup section, the PC just restarted everytime. Here my questions that might help me clarify the install process: - Do I need to install the nvinjectGo-Driver and Azalia Audio-Driver in the setup or are these drivers within the mpkg package? - Do I need to install the/a nforce chipset driver, if yes, which one? leo4all offers me a new and an old one. - Are the some special other settings to install the system? - As I couldn't yet test this fully out: The boot with dvd worked well. Now I set up a boot entry in Vista Bootmenü, which loads darwin. With this, I can also boot up MacOS. I just didn't came to the point, where the UI was loaded. I think this was because of the mpkg-file, which a wrong(?) installed. Or may it also be, that MacOS does start properly when bootet from CD, and NOT when bootet by Darwin Bootmanager on disk? Thanks for your answers!
