Pci audio : WorthIt ?

Well Im a noob at this {censored} , im a extreme windows user and i got osx86 working but i really would love to have sound so if any one could provide me with a guide on this that would be great. ... thanks

CT5803. That's a Creative SB128, right? Not a chance in hell.

 

And as for the other one, I've never even heard of it. The likelihood of there being OS X support (when only very, very few PCI audio cards have OS X support, like the Audiophiles) is absolutely nothing.

 

Use AC97/HDA, or a USB/Firewire sound device.

I have the Sound Blaster Extigy... external USB soundcard. It works in OSx86 (albeit stereo) and even its MIDI works on occasion.

 

So +1 for USB sound devices.

 

INIMICUS

 

are you using cubase or logic or any other music production software with your extigy soundcard ?

Well put them in a pci slot and see if it works!!!! if not than USB Audio

like others said, not a lot of pci audio cards work. you have nothing to lose trying!!
