elenore19
I'm looking into getting a mac and I need to be able to game decently on it. So there's boot camp. If I were to install XP onto my mac, would windows run fine with all the hardware in the computer working great? I'll be getting a Macbook Pro. Colonel
Apple makes Windows "just work" with the Mac hardware. It should run just as well or better than it would on a regular PC. Special-K
As said on the commercial and on PCmagazine.com, The fastest Vista notebook was a MacBook. I know you said XP, but still, that says something about all the other manufacturers. The firmware is different (which also appears to affect Windows display drivers), other than that, plain old x86 platform, like all the "regular" PCs out there... Fiber
Yeah sure, but the drivers on Windows are still Beta imho, the Wireless driver is still not very good, Bluetooth stack is incomplete (Bluetooth still works crappy). iScott
My XP in bootcamp is fast as hell. My airport wireless works just fine, and my graphics display is very sharp. I haven't tried bluetooth, but I suspect it will work perfect. Just curious, have you actually updated to the latest version of bootcamp? I have quite a few iMacs (all of different hardware), a Mac mini, and a MacBook Air all running Vista no problem... on two of the iMacs I had XP also without any driver problems at all!
