  1. Returned my new iPhone 3G

I did check the coverage map for the 3G service, although it is not where my house is, it is in place that I frequently go to and that was where it was spotty. On the coverage map the whole area was supposed to be 3G. I also reset it to factory twice. I think I just got a bum one. I am getting my Instinct today and I will see how their service is. At least where my house is there is 3G for sprint.
  2. Yes I did. It had spotty 3G, apps were crashing and locking up the phone, and I was having to do a hard reboot atleast twice a day from the lock ups. I have the original iPhone, and it never locked up on me. So I ordered the new Samsung Instinct and switched to Sprint. I love Apple products, but this one just pissed me off to much. I know that the Instinct is not as good as the iPhone, but I need a phone that does not lock up on me all the time. The funny thing is that the AT&T store made me pay a restocking fee on a phone that they will send back to Apple under warranty. Anyone else having these type of problems?
  3. Of course you can install it to an external hd and then restore the external hd to your Mac, but he wants to know if you can use the gray disk to install and the answer is no.
  4. Hey macprodan, where did you get that recycle bin icon, and how did you change it from the stock icon?
  5. Isn't Treadstone from The Bourne Identity? That is the name of the program the assassins where apart of?
  6. If you are talking about the gray disk's that came with your friends Mac, then the answer is no. Those disk's are only for the Mac that it came with.
  7. I am dual booting Leopard and Snow leopard on the same HD. Just used Disk Utility to make a second partition.
  8. OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard"

I am posting from 10.6. It is slow to start up on my 20" 2.4GHZ iMac with 4 GB of ram. I am running it off of a second partition.
  9. Just bought my first Apple!

By the way, you can use an OEM windows disk that came with your PC. I have used one of mine from dell many times.
  10. how do i remove the DVD!?!?!

Is this the retail DVD, or is it a DVD that came with a system?

  12. Asrock wolfdale 1333 MoBo

No worries guys, I got it up and running. I went out and bought another motherboard. I bought the ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard. This board is good for a hack, except lan does not work. I am going to get a PCI LAN card tomorrow. So the spec are as follows ASUS P5GC-MX/1333 MB Seagate 500 GB SATA HD 1.5 GB's memory Samsung SATA DVD-RW Core 2 Duo e6750 2.66Ghz processor I followed LifeHacker's guide for the BIOS set up here, he has an Asus P5W DH Deluxe, but the BIOS are close. BTW, this is my third Hackintosh, my others were both DELL's, I wanted to do a cheapish hack from scratch.
  13. So I haved searched and searched but cannot find the BIOS settings for my MoBo. I have seen the one for the Conroe 1333, but I have the Wolfdale model R.2. Does anyone know how to get it to work? Everytime that I boot off the DVD I get the fast screen of loading then it reboots. It is a 945GC chipset with ICH7. Please I need help. I had a Dell hackintosh before, but I sold it to a friend. Thanks

You can always buy a Mac Mini, as long as you have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.
