build
MacBook Air is 0.16" to 0.76". The thickest part of the MacBook Air is thinner than the thinnest part of the Sony TZ series. It fits inside a envelope!!!!!! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/81754-macworld-steves-keynote/page/2/#findComment-580668 Share on other sites

Neilis
I want to know what they mean by "shrink the processor" Are we talking 45nm or something else? My guess is they mean a package shrink rather than a die shrink (maybe both though). The CPU core on most processor's is much smaller than the package, so a 60% reduction isn't unreasonable. sandmanfvrga
$1799 isn't bad, especially when they had Intel redesign the chip. The specs are nice but 1 USB port is limiting. Not my cup of tea, but impressive. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/81754-macworld-steves-keynote/page/2/#findComment-580691 Share on other sites

A.I.Ghost
80Gb hdd, 2gb of ram (667mhz, cl 5-5-5-15), 1.6Ghz Core2Duo (200mhz FSB, with 8x multiplier?), 13" display, one USB - for 1799$ + 99$ for super drive? {censored} happens. Hmm... i dont understand why would an ultra slim notebook require 2gb of RAM?
