Can guitars from consoles be used on the mac? i.e. just purchase the game it self and not spend the extra money if you already own a few guitars from ps2/360. The online play. Can you play with 360 users or is it a mac only server? **** P.S. Last year a friend of mine had a mac book pro and he connected an apple keyboard to it and used it as a guitar for some game. I doubt it was guitar hero, anybody have any knowledge of this? He was pressing the F1-F4 keys for the notes and holding it like a guitar too. In fact if you already have a 360 controller, and just want to play yourself (not online) google a program called Frets of Fire. Open source cross platform Guitar Hero type game, just without the fancy graphics. There are also PS2 to USB (not PS2 keyboard, Play Station 2) converters that allow you to use the PS2 guitar with Frets of Fire. As for the online play, I don't know who you are playing against actually, I still suck so haven't even bothered going online. I was wondering a few things about this game. Hopefully I can get my 360 guitar to link up with my mac when I get it. Guitar Hero sucks. I don't see how it's a big game. And when did they start it on PC's? I never used to like it until I gave it a try and for some reason its pretty fun. I'm not a huge fan like some people are but its a nice game, interactive but not tiring like DDR. I was proper, proper sh1te (cos I play guitar, which confuses matters due to left/right hand co-ordination (I won't go into that) I found it's about as close to playing guitar as scratching your arse is to scratching vinyl on decks) People could buy a not too shabby guitar for the amount of money this game costs.. I don't get the appeal either, the time wasted listening to the tunes clicking big arse clunky fisher price buttons could be better spent actually learning the thing that those who play the game aspire to do (or don't they?)... it's this kind of stuff that's going to lead to the total downfall of this planet, soon people are going to stop eating due to some virtual chewing/swallowing game. ahh each to their own, obviously some you lot like it.. and I'm defo getting old...
