cpus=1 paremeter doesnt help and it cant help.

I think the total problem is in low power of GMA950 to LEO. 10.5 uses new GUI and needs powerful card. Will try to use another video.

Hi,

So, your computer is a Desktop PC right? What size of your monitor? 17"? Even though you stuck on 1024x768, did this workaround fix the mouse pointer trailing effect with some application, e.g. firefox?

hi. I dont know about firefox/dont use it/ but i have follow bug on desktop:

q48CN4oFiz.jpg

As seen black square, frozen mouse pointer appeared...

I noticed they appear instead of last mouse pointer positions and black square is a first pointer position. May be it cause of using ps/2 mouse, may be of GMA950 - i dont know.

When resolution is only 1024x768 bugs dont appear...

same problem like you mozzy... i use 0x2772 GMA 950, but since i replace AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext with AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext v 1.5.16, no artifact anymore when using Firefox, but too bad, it makes Leo stuck with 1024x768. But i force apple boot with 1280x1024x32@75... and now I enjoyed well

my problem w/ gma950 even w/ 10.5.1 update is "i cant change my screen resolution to native 1440x900 display" all kext are loaded according to system profiler, even w/o natit.kext. tried to add natit kext, still unable to change resolution. the only difference when i installed natit is i see AAPL= no value @ darwin boot w/ -v option.

any solution?

I applied Natit kext first and I saw it in extensions and then installed the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext from Leo 10.5.1

update and all I get are strips on the screen. I don't seem to understand what the problem is.

Natit should help my display 2 be found but it doesn't seem to do that.

I get mouse tearing while using firefox and office 2008.

I hope someone has a solution for me.

Thx

Hi,

What is your device id (GMA950)? Is it 0x2772 or 0x27A2? Is this desktop PC or notebook?

I've got a notebook.

Problem is though I can't work out my device ID as I've got no version of windows at all on my notebook.

Its a Sony Vaio SZ Series that has the Intel 945 chipset.

@kizwanbro, u said that u use iatkos 10.5.1, same as like i use it. and u Install the original 10.5.1 update, where did you get that file?? from the official apple.com ??
I downloaded the 10.5.1 update from apple.com. But you can only install this update only if your system installed with EFI.

Hi,You can get that information from your hackintosh. Run "ioreg -l | less" at terminal & search for 950. Copy the first entry that you found & post it here. This is my ioreg info for 950:-

Hi!

I've got a notebook with GMA950 and Os X 10.5.1. The display is working fine with Vanilla 950+vanilla framebuffer+natit, but when I try to use an external monitor OS X hangs. (it won't boot with an external monitor, and it will hang if you connect it after system has been started)

Can anything be done about it?

(ps. I haven't tried the old framebuffer with external monitor yet. because without an external monitor there are artifacts with it)

Can somebody post the Kexts needed to fix this?

I don´t have the 10.5.1 update and need these files!!!

I already have the Natit.kext all I need are the Vanilla 950 Kexts and the Framebuffer Kext!

Thank you very much!!

Thanks for your link, i tested the AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer.kext and the Natit.kext copied/replaced

the Kexts in the Extensions Folder, CHMOD, CHOWN and REPAIRPERMISSIONS then booted with -F for a fresh

Boot but no Success,

I also have the 10.5.2 Leo with Kalyways Kernel, do I have the Vanilla GMA950 Kexts? How can I checkout

if these are the vanilla ones?

And another Question, how can I check which Kexts are loaded and which not?

Thanks for your Help

okay so i have a Gateway MT6705 laptop with 10.5.1 iAtkos.i have a GMA 950 display but when i installed Leopard i chose the GMA X3100 drivers and for some reason that let Leopard work, yet i cant change the resolution. I noticed that the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext had already been in the extensions folder but i downloaded the vanilla GMA 950 kexts and replaced the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext with the one in the archive. Then a screen popped up saying this. dood.jpg I suck at haxing and its just pissing me off cause my display looks terrible, its all blurry and not widescreen and pretty.also i was wondering do i have to remove all the intel GMA X3100 kexts, and leave the GMA 950 ones, or will that just mess things up?

EDIT:i just backed up and deleted the GMA 3100 kexts, left the GMA 950 ones, and restarted my computer.this time i got pop up saying the AppleIntelGMA950.kext, the Natik.kext, and the AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext needed to be reinstalled or updated.i have no clue what i'm doing wrong, yet i am a ubernoob, so any suggestions would be appreciated
