dpace32
I just finished the torrent for this but overlooked the fact that my new machine is an AMD and not an Intel. Is there anyway to convert this? I have a 5000+ chip that has an NFORCE4 chipset. Thanks! bsharpy
"P35-DS3L with an E6750" I have an IDE DVD/R and a 60gig IDE HD that I want to install it on. I can boot the dvd fine and partition the HD but when I attempt to install I get a big fat message saying "There is no files to install" ? I can use terminal and copy the pkg files to the HD? jwhammerhed
Hi all, My install went pretty well, the only problem I am having is that when I go to "about this mac" I automatically get logged out (its like the finder restarts). I have seen others mentioning this same problem but I haven't seen any solutions. Does anyone have any ideas of what could cause this? and what I can do to get it working correctly? My system is Asrock 775Dual-915GL mobo (with appropriate BIOS settings, at least as far as I can tell) Intel GMA900 onboard video onboard audio and ethernet 80 GB WD IDE drive with MBR partition I ONLY installed the patched kernel (not vanilla) and the MBR EFI Thanks for any help and thanks for this amazing 10.5.1 distribution! -DuNe-
My lessons learned for ATI x1950:- use the network adapter2 (the one on top) as the one on bottom isn't enabled in leo.False. The 2 adapters work perfectly on P5W. did you try to delete all your Ethernet adapters listed into the network preferences and to add them back after? Sometime after the install it helps them to works.Installed kaly with the ATI1000 kext option (NATIT_ATIcards). When the install completes, it will kernal panic if booted normally. Boot with verbose safe mode (-v -f -x). You will need to switch the video kext. So with leo up, install the Bronya x1950 kext (Bronya x1950 drivers). Unzip and run the package within ATI_X1950_LEO.zip. Fix the permissions when done (you can do this in disk utility if you want), reboot, and you are good to go.I have mine running at 1680 x 1050 with QE supported.did u try ATYinject, i think it is better than Natit for the X1950pro...IDE Config... Configure SATA as - [standard IDE] Onboard IDE Operate Mode - [enhanced mode] enhanced mode support on - [s-ATA] You can use AHCi, it is better on this mobo, and vista handle it too.Hi, thanks for making such an excellent installer dvd for leopard. It worked perfectly on my old system that i recently sold. I just bought an Asus Maximus Formula motherboard and having a few problems installing using the kalyway 10.5.1 install dvd.I have set the bios to AHCI and booted the kalyway dvd, formatted to guid, selected pc_efi. I then got Installation a success message at the end. On first boot (with the kaly dvd still in the drive) i get boot.plist not found. If i take the kaly dvd out of the drive and restart, i just get a flashing cursor. as a test i tried formatting to MBR and installing mbr_efi, which worked. It will boot after installation has finished but the strange thing is i need to have the kalyway dvd in the drive for it to boot the hard disk. I think maybe there's a problem with the darwin installation on the hard disk itself but i'm not 100% sure.By the way the motherboard has an X38 chipset and ICH9-R.Hope you can shed some light on what i must do to get it working on GUID. Do i have to patch the kalyway dvd ?That's just a little problem with your Hd first sector. see post 469Anybody succeeded with digital out for P5K-E WiFi/Ap so far?Any suggestions are much appreciated we must wait for new Taruga AppleHDA patcher to make this possible on the AD1988B Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/77069-kalyway-1051-dvd-release-the-official/page/41/#findComment-561933 Share on other sites

macmono
Dune31 - thanks for the response. As far as having only one ethernet port working, no - I didn't try deleting the ethernet adapters and adding them back. I will do that. As for the x1950 pro, yes - I did try the ATYinject and got the same kernel panic. After that I went looking and found Bronya's driver which worked in my setup. As for the IDE Config - I will switch that to AHCI as you indicated. * Update on AHCI. This fixed a little problem I was having in Leo. However, Vista won't boot. The problem is I installed Vista with this config set to "standard IDE". So, I don't have the native drivers installed within Vista. When I switch to AHCI, Vista won't boot as it no longer can see my drive. Catch-22, I can't install the native drivers in Vista because it is set to standard IDE, can't boot Vista to install the drivers when in AHCI. If my original install of Vista was done with AHCI, I am sure I wouldn't be in this situation. * Update 2 on my AHCI. Found a little trick to enable AHCI on an already installed Vista. In case anyone needs it... 1. Start with the BIOS IDE Config set to Configure SATA as - [standard IDE] 2. Open Regedit and go to: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci\Start and change the value of DWORD to '0' 3. Reboot and wait a couple of mins 4. Reboot again, but first enter BIOS and change IDE Config and set to Configure SATA as [AHCI]. Save & exit. 5. When Vista loads it will re-detect your drives and install the AHCI drivers. When complete, it will ask you to reboot again. peyronnx
@Dune31 & Kaly, I have tried your release but unfortunately Leo doesn't want to boot (no more Darwin bootloader, only a black screen). I have tried twice: 1. Formated with GUID (HFS+) and selected all GUID options during the install 2. Formated with MBR (HFS+) and selected all MBR options during the install I have a Dell XPS 410 and I previously used ToH rc2 with a lot of tweakings to make Leo correctly works. Last comment, all the options in the BIOS you are talking to do not exist in the Dell BIOS (AHCI for instance). Any idea ? Maybe with taruga patcher 2.00, wich sould come out soon, the p5b is full supportet (we will see). Abut the language: This is no problem! Just install your language pack from the additional installs package from an other Leo-DVD Release wich contains your preferred language. I used Brazil-Mac. Then go to system preferences//languages and drag your language on top of the list, than make your choice in the time and date format section. Then log out and log in and its fixed. Good luck! I did´nt understand your question. Maybe because of my english. Didi you try the azalia? I think, tis was the one that works for me. I looked and its still installed. Otherwise it would be removed by taruga. The only way to control, as far as I know, is to look in system preferences/sound if it works. Anyway, here is an other one. But be careful.
